Re: Hornby 2012
G'Day Gents News travels fast these days, a supposed release from Hornby for 2012 is a Thompson O1 2-8-0 and Thompson suburban coaches, could it be that the L1 and B1 have donated parts to make this possible, ( I thought that a K1 might have been the go) manna
It wou...

Re: modelfair.com-the price is right?

A certain firm beginning with the letter R in Sheffield aren't exactly cheap for pre owned really either. Can't say I've used Modelfair a huge amount of times, but what I have had from them's been good. I have never seen 'R' sell a pre-owned loco. I would certainly shop from Modelfair again. This tim...

Re: Hornby 2012

Has anyone mentioned the OLD GWR Dean Goods yet? This is a loco which is in need of a serious overhaul and would be a great addition. :D

Re: Starlingford - Home of Modelzone's newest employee, pg 107

The N15 is certainly one of the best locos I have seen and own. Although mine is in Southern livery and it Etarre, they make a fine loco. Only problem mine has ever had is with the small pipes next to the front wheels. If not checked, they can de rail the loco easily.

Re: Ventnor-East

I made a Smallbrook road van some time ago - it went together well enough but the roof was particularly difficult to fit. Photo below : http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/rr250/Cefnbryn/DSCF0622.jpg They are quite expensive now I noticed - best part of £20 ? Tony These Brakevans certainly have a gr...

Re: Kenrow/Dapol Beattie Well tank engines.

I tested my Beattie last night and on littlenobby's layout today. She was perfect :D However I have just noticed that one of the tiny hooks on the coal bunker has broken off :( Any ideas on how I can rectify this?

Re: My Layout Diary

Update: 19/10/2011 My friends have started laying down the first track for the layout. Tested the Beattie Well Tank for the first time on the layout and she ran beautifully. Also tested the Hornby Railroad GWR County and I was impressed for this was my first time buying a Railroad model. I just need...

My Layout Diary

Evening Guys! Well after five years of collecting rolling stock and helping to clear the loft out, I am finally starting to set up my layout! I have the one side of the attic for my layout. For my layout, I have asked two friends to set up the boards, track, ballasting and electrics as I would not k...

Re: New NRM Model - MR Compound No.1000

Considering that the Hornby Railroad Compound is just around the corner, I reckon that the Bachmann version is going to sell very slowly. The NRM is has still got both versions of the Truro in stock, has nearly sold out of the GCR ROD models and has probably still got plenty of the Coal Trader Wagon...

Re: Hornby 2012

Hornby certainly need to be looking at the Kings now! Hornby has an excellent range of GWR locomotives under it's belt and the King would the icing on the cake. Something else that'd be nice would be a Crocodile F. Very Very big  The GWR Crocodile F would be a great wagon to see. Some GWR Balla...

To add as well Splop, once a RTR version comes out, kit built versions usually drop in price as well.

Kenny sorry but i told you about a year ago, they were doing a midland compound and a dukedog.. some people have short memories... :D I remember you saying something about the Midland Compound last year. When nothing was shown at Warley 2010, I didn't think much of it. Now I am would be interested,...

Re: Kenrow/Dapol Beattie Well tank engines.

The Beattie just radiates a charm! :D It is also now another LSWR loco that is available. I am lucky enough to have a couple of LSWR wagons to go with mine.
