I'd always go as high as (reasonably) possible for backboards ... if you can, maybe extend the 6" boards higher? Because of the pitch of the roof they cant go any higher. However a few extra inches could always be at a slight angle without looking too bad. I just need to have a look through th...

The grass is the reverse side of some hanging basket liner I got at the garden centre. Here is what the war memorial would look like. just a question really, are you going to cover up the hang basket liner edges? as you can see each sheet/piece. Ben I just came down from the loft doing exactally that. They do look nice, it's just that the boards I was planning to mount them on are only 6" high.
