Re: Kernow-Dapol D600 Warship

It's taken a while, but I fear the bonanza of completely new "minority" models we have been enjoying is coming to an end for the time being at least. The D600 warship should really have got off the bench by now though. Shame but I fear we may never see it.

Re: Misleading You-tube video R1072

Thank you GWR_fan for clarification on eBay refund rules which is as I thought and have experienced in the past. Years of experience has taught me that "Caveat Emptor" is the wisest piece of advice anyone can give when buying on eBay but as you say, eBay usually take the side of buyers whe...

Re: Misleading You-tube video R1072

That would be fraud. I think perhaps you have misunderstood what I have written, or I have written it ambiguously. You can get your money back without returning an item and it usually requires agreement on both sides, however if there is a dispute and the seller maintains the item was as described ...

Re: Misleading You-tube video R1072

I have had two cases resolved in the past where eBay have confirmed that I do not have to return the item so it would seem not!

Re: Misleading You-tube video R1072

You should press for a full refund as the item has been quite obviously incorrectly described! It's not up to you to check if the description is wrong before purchase as this is something which the seller should check before listing. It is clear that you have been fobbed off here and I would lodge a...

Re: Intercity 125

I remember seeing them fly through West Ealing shortly after introduction in 1976. Within weeks the lovely yellow end roof had been turned into a horrible black gungy mess . The baffles did help quite a bit after they had been fitted but they didn't completely eradicate the gunge off the windows &am...

Re: Intercity 125

The "roof bit" otherwise known as exhaust baffle, was not fitted to the real InterCity125 units until some time after it had been in service and discovered that the exhaust from the loco was being dragged down over the rear power car drivers window and nose cone, depositing a horrible blac...

Re: Intercity 125

The old Margate made 125 is pretty much bomb proof when it comes to handling and ease of maintenance, it lacks weight and fine bogie detail though which is one of its big downfalls, although weight is easily rectified by the addition of more weight inside the capacious bodyshell. I would not recomme...

Re: Misleading You-tube video R1072

The R1072 set did originally have the tender driven version but when the first of the loco drive (R2675) versions became available it was replaced with that.

Re: Misleading You-tube video R1072

I think the confusion may have set in because there are two completely separate versions of the Railroad Hornby A1 Flying Scotsman which have been produced by Hornby. The original Railroad one was sold as R2675 which utilised the same body and tender from the previous tender driven model in the set ...

Re: Bachmann Dynamis Pro

To bring this back to my original post. The defective unit is currently with Bachmann for repair/replacement and from what I can gather, appears to be being done under warranty so fingers crossed, I should be able to attach the second infra red receiver/transmitter when it is returned to me.

Re: Hattons Dispatch times

One thing I have found a little peculiar with Hattons though is on several occasions (slightly off topic but..), I have ordered a Bachmann 21 pin decoder and each time, just 1 decoder is sent in a huge box which is way too big for the contents. Although it is well padded out with air pillows, it see...
