Re: Bachmann LBSCR H2 Atlantic release

I have purchased the BR black version "Beachy Head" and can confirm that it is a magnificent hauler. I had it running round the garden with 10 Bachmann Mk1s the other day. In it's latter days the real "Beachy Head" could be seen running with Mk1 coaches so i'm happy with the fact...

Re: Kernow-Dapol D600 Warship

If its running qualities are as good as the Bulleid diesel I recently purchased it will be a great model to run and definitely on my "to obtain" list

Re: DAPOL 121 BUBBLE CAR

I'm not sure why but think you will find that the interior lights may work if you press F5. I'm not sure why you cannot get F2 to latch though. Most functions on decoders are set to latch by default. have you tried re-settng the decoder to default by changing CV8 to value 8? I only found this out as...

Re: DAPOL 121 BUBBLE CAR

It should be noted that the current (blue pcb) Bachmann 36-557, 6 function decoder will work the front and rear directional lights and the individual cab lights but the interior lights will remain on constantly whilst the unit is on powered track. For some reason the interior lights will not switch ...

Re: Jules's garden Railway "Bambrough Town" Update

That looks impressive, I take it you remove the vehicles etc after a running session? They are all stored inside the shed when not being run. I have a huge amount of stock and most of it is stored on shelves on inside the shed. some stock remains on the track inside the shed after running sessions....

It has given me years of pleasure, and with me having retired at the end of December I can see it getting a lot of use in 2018!

Re: Jules's garden Railway "Bambrough Town" Update

Just an update on Jules's garden railway... now entering year 16 of it's illustrious existence. No major construction took place in 2017 but there was a lot of train running!

Re: Hornby 31 TTS Chip

I've just discovered a whole thread about this problem on the Hornby forums. It seems as though Hornby require the chip to be returned for a "fix" but they haven't officially said so yet! If that is the case then I will have to put up with a "one way" loco as i really can't be bo...

Re: Hornby 31 TTS Chip

Thanks guys. This was a chip I bought as one of the new "chip & Speaker only" packages that Hornby have released so i will definitely be contacting them about it for the "FIX"

Re: Hornby 31 TTS Chip

My fun & games with a Class 31 TTS decoder is a bit weird and I haven't found any rhyme or reason why it does the following:- 1) i put loco on track No.1 end facing forward. Loco runs in both directions, Sounds work, and my fitted lights work. 2) Turn loco round 180 degrees, loco doesn't respond...

Re: Bachmann/Kernow 4-TC units

The DJ Class 71 has the same requirement, and again this is not documented. Furthermore the 5th function needs to be a logic function in both models and not a normal lighting function - again not documented in either. Some decoders, for example, the Zimo MX634C, are simply described as having 6 fun...
