hey Tim, thats a really nice layout, when i see things like this it makes we wish i had gone with N gauge rather than 00, that is a really impressive bridge you have made, which kits did you make that from? i might try something like that myself

not if your using dcc, this does away with that, you may need some insulated rail joints but that depends on what points you are are using, if your using electrofrogs i found this very handy http://www.wiringfordcc.com/switches_peco.htm, the most important thing is to make sure you have power to all...

well i thought it had already been out with the 2009 printed on the rails picture, i havent seen any on ebay however so i guess it was delayed, im going to be keeing my eye on rails and hattons for any split from the packs :)

I actually have exactly the same crane, bought it years ago, really stupid that its so much cheaper than the normal hornby one, did you repaint it (well its either that or my eyes), if you did how did you go about it, looks very nice

BR black, i think its a toss up between that and either a royal scot, patriot or possibly the tornado, but that is going to have to wait until end of next month as i have to sort out converting over to dcc and getting my point motors wired up (not looking forward to that :( ), currently im using DC ...

maybe just try it without house on both sides, then you could move the house so they are not so close to the track, failing that i like your idea of chucking them in the abyss!

The only thing i will say is that the village seems abit close on the train tracks, poor guys dont have a garden or anything :( Nice layout but i would just try give the village more space from the track
