Re: PeterH's Great Central themed layout.

I suppose I ought to get on with it then really! I've got a free weekend coming up so that'll be an ideal time to get on with it. Stabilising the corner baseboards is the first job to get on with really.

Actual real updates on Sunday or else!

Bluebell Railway Sunday 29th June 2014.

Hello all, I went off on a coach trip to the Bluebell railway yesterday - the first time I have been there for 14 years! It was a jolly good day out. http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u47/PeterHHodge/DSCF4919.jpg http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u47/PeterHHodge/DSCF4922.jpg http://i165.photobucke...

Re: PeterH's Watford Junction thread. Railcam - Watford p.15

It is quite an interesting site - those track diagrams are incredibly useful as well. Able to track things up and down the line is really good. The auto-stills are jolly handy too! http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u47/PeterHHodge/192_168_0_64_01_20140618073429_MOTDEC.jpg http://i165.photobucket.co...

Swindon and Cricklade Railway Saturday 14th June 2014: Met 1

Hello all, A few photos from my recent trip to the Swindon and Cricklade Railway on Saturday 14th June 2014. Met. 1 was running with a four coach train of Mark 1 stock. http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u47/PeterHHodge/DSCF4904-1.jpg http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u47/PeterHHodge/DSCF4905.jpg h...

Re: Shinohara 00 gauge scissors crossing - which code to use

Hopefully it'll just fit together nicely. Thanks for the advice, I'll ring people up and ask when I order as well I think - can't do any harm! I think you are probably right though, I had a similar feeling as well.

Shinohara 00 gauge scissors crossing - which code to use?

Hello all, Looking at my track plan I have been considering using a scissor crossing to save space. It looks like using the Shinohara ones are easier and probably slightly cheaper than making your own ones out 5 point pieces. The only trouble is that I am using Code 75 track and Shinohara don't do a...

Re: PeterH's Great Central themed layout.

Hello all, New job means I now have some money to carry on with the layout. I bought 2 boxes of Code 75 track at Railex yesterday to start with. A trip down to B&Q or Homebase will provide me with bolts and wing-nuts and I can then start working on assembly. I need to build two more corners as w...
