Dublo thanks for your comments, I was going to use n gauge but I think it’s amazing what you can achieve with oo gauge so I’m up for the challenge.

I agree with TimberSurf if the item is static and won’t be handled then there is no point protecting with varnish.

This is my first venture into railway modelling and so I have started of with a small halt station diorama.
