Re: OO Shed Layout

The bit missing was just there as I wasn't concentrating on the main line for the moment, just the depot. I had a bit of a think last night and have come up with this. https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4175/34329659880_018c7ee594_c.jpg Plan2 by Ian , on Flickr The dead-end piece on the far left will go ...

Re: OO Shed Layout

I must admit to liking this kind of layout, obviously simplified, for the engine shed area. I will need to move the turntable I reckon though.

Re: Where have you got your layout?

Mine's a very much work in progress in my shed and at the moment has to share with the lawn mower, etc. which isn't ideal :) I will tidy it up one day! https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4182/34429098741_4322f73f32.jpg IMG_1902.jpg by Ian , on Flickr https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4170/34429097021_a1a29c2...

Re: OO Shed Layout

Since November I threw planning out of the window and decided to let the layout grow organically which has resulted in more head scratching and swearing than before with no more than just a double oval and a few Hornby buildings scattered around. Anyway, I've realised I need to start to plan better....

Re: Shedford - OO Gauge Shed Layout

Not much progress in the last month or so. I've got the twin oval down and am able to run trains around successfully however now I think I should have planned a bit better and worked out what I wanted more than just throwing an oval down and seeing what happened. The whole thing nearly got ripped up...

Re: Categorising Layout Detail Level (on the Lumsdonia scale)

As a relatively newcomer to railway modelling I must say to be put on a scale of where you must reach to be a certain level is extremely off putting. I joined this forum for advice, not to be labeled as "level x" because I haven't had time to put ballast down yet or afford to actually buy ...

Re: London-Flat-Friendly Mini-Layout

If I remember the measurements correctly, Setrack spacing is 67mm and Peco Streamline is 50mm.

You'll need a spacing greater than 50mm for the curves though to allow for carriages to pass.

tolgusgiant.jpg Can't help with the answer to your question (although I am interested in the responses as I have a similar loco) however thank you so so much for identifying the place I went and such a great time at when I was very very young! Could always remember the giant but had no idea where i...
