Re: Galgorm Hall 00 Gauge Loft Layout

I be been watching with interest and I havnt been disappointed! This has turned out very well indeed. I have had a simlar issue with stairs, I did not have the time to scratch build the ones I needed, but although a little late, Ancorton models do laser cut wooden signal box stair cases which can be...

Re: Galgorm Hall 00 Gauge Loft Layout

I definitely think you made the right decision to include the guttering, and any other details you can add. I enjoyed making the signal box kit and found the fact it is plastic rather than metal easier to handle. I agree with Jim in that your brickwork technique is brilliant. I look forward to more ...

Re: Edgware GN,

Great stuff manna, did you scratch build the somersault signal or was it a kit? Either way it's very effective, I need to make a few I think.

Re: Derby Friargate LNER/ BR garage layout

Hi all, I've been absent for a while, really busy with work but in between here an there I've managed to squeeze in a bit of modeling. To reply to you Paul it is by Hornby but part if the Thomas And Friends range. They style and detail if the model does not justify it's position in there as far as I...

Re: Millsend Layout - OO Gauge Sixties Midland

Jim, what can I say those wagon works sheds look fantastic, it looks to build a great kit. The lighting you have installed sets the atmosphere great. All it needs is a couple of wagons being worked on with a couple of work men on the platforms. I have seen these kits and have been tempted to get one...

Re: Galgorm Hall 00 Gauge Loft Layout

Paul, I've been watching your progress with the signal box, and I am very impressed. To note is the sturdiness of the structure and the way you have applied the roofing is brill, something which I will try to do my self. I look forward to seeing your interior installed and I hope you don't have to w...

Re: Hawick via Grantham, Inverness and SIAM (00 gauge DC)

Excellent stuff and Paul isn't the only one feasting lol. It's great to see a building come to shape, especially of an interesting prototype. I don't envy the thought of making windows, I've tried that before and although I got the job done I was genuinely pulling my hair out with superglue. I look ...

Re: Edgware GN, Now building a C1 Atlantic

Great to see some layout pictures, ballasting looks good, and I like the look of the sand ballast as well. I was looking at trying some black sand to see how that goes. I do enjoy your loco builds but like seeing them on the layout even more. :D

I look forward to more,

Re: Galgorm Hall 00 Gauge Loft Layout

Paul, fantastic job so far and a real clean build produced. I like the tone of the brick work, it has a grimey feel to it. I find brick work such a bugger to do, and to do it the same every time. I look forward to seeing your windows installed. Great job so far!

The veg patch is fantastic and for saying that you didn't have to buy anything for it specifically is testament to the spares box and good imagination! I have an area in mind for something similar my self and I really like your results.

Re: Derby Friargate LNER/ BR garage layout

Thank you Geoff and timbersurf, much appreciated. I hope to start the construction of the interior today at some point. I do take a moment sometimes and think am I going over the top? But I do enjoy these little scenes, although it is distracting me from the main layout. Jim - , thank you, I w...
