Re: Just out of interest
We don't know, order quantities are the business of Hattons, and in this case Hornby. I wouldn't believe anyone proposing a number, unless that person was Richard Davies, MD of Hattons... Thanks for the reply Bigmet. I thought that would be the answer. Looks like the model is going to be very popul...

Just out of interest
Recently when I pre-ordered my code 100 rail and points from Hattons I had a browse through the website as you do. I've been hanging my nose over the new Hornby Standard 2 tender engine. So I thought I'd have a look if any (approx) delivery date had been announced. None had but I did notice that 2 o...

Re: Lemington docks.... end to end
Looking forward to following your progress on this. The layout looks to be a similar size to 'Robinson Road Goods Depot' I am building at the moment. A dockside/quay layout was one of the options I considered along with the goods depot and engine shed layouts. I don't really have an interest in boat...

Re: PECO CODE 100
Thanks for that Ex-Pat.
I did put my order in after I got their reply.
I'll just have to wait and see now.
I'm not desperate for it and still have other things on ROBINSON ROAD to keep me occupied for a decent length of time.

Re: PECO CODE 100
I was settling up the bill for Christmas on the much battered credit card this morning and I thought while I'm on the PC there's no harm enquiring if Hattons are due a delivery from Peco. Question: Are you expecting a delivery of code 100 track and points from Peco in the near future? Answer: Yes we...

(Will it be a) Happy New Year?
Well with 2020 confined to the history books I'd like to wish all NRM members a Happy New Year. I was also wondering if anyone's got any thoughts how 2021 will shape up in particular the return of exhibitions? I guess a lot depends on how fast we get our vaccine jabs. The very nature of any exhibiti...

Re: PECO CODE 100
Thanks guys for all the info. I did hold off from ordering before Xmas so I'll investigate more. We have a model shop in Wellingborough another in Northampton and one in Church Stowe near Towcester. I don't know if there's one in Milton Keynes (20 miles away). There used to be a ModelZone shop in M...

Re: PECO CODE 100
According to Derails web site they have stacks i.e https://www.derails.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=25_29&product_id=52 Thanks for that Mike. I've never heard of Derails before They seem to have what I need. I'll be placing an order this afternoon. They are a bit more expensiv...

PECO CODE 100
Hi all. Merry Christmas and (hopefully) a Happy New Year to all you guys on NRM. I was just wondering if anyone has got any upto date information regards production at Peco, particularly code 100 track and points? Although I've started the main platforms on ROBINSON ROAD I will be needing 10 x metre...

Re: Diesels at Crown Point and Sovereign St.
Can't help wondering if the 25's driver has stopped to buy an ice-cream? This reminds me of a railtour I went on in JUNE 1992 called the Worksop Whistler that had been organised to coincide with an Open Weekend at Worksop Depot. We visited local Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire collieries which are n...

Re: B & H Models limited edition Bachmann wagons
... They are now on edition 9 of Ramsay's which was published in 2016. This is the most up to date version... And most likely the last in print form, based on a comment seen fairly recently. Essentially, huge amount of work, expensive to print, only modest demand. I think mine was a freebie from so...

Re: B & H Models limited edition Bachmann wagons
I've just found my old (3rd edition) of Ramsay's British Model Trains catalogue. It's well over 10 years old. There's lots of info on Bachmann Classic Coal Traders with quite a few Lincolnshire private owners mentioned. It also tells you which are special editions such as B & H Models etc. Pete ...
