Re: A permanent 00 layout at last?!

I used to have a studio in a small box room. Rehanging the door to open outwards instead of inwards gave me back a lot of floorspace.

Re: 4 pin decoders?

How did you fish out, clamp the wire and replace the pins in the Hornby blanking plate for the TCS M1 decoder please SRman?
Thanks

Re: 4 pin decoders?

Thanks for the replies members. It looks like the TCS M1 decoder, as per your link markS&D , could be hard wired. :) I had a look and found the two Hornby R8125 4 pin decoders I have so I can test the loco (On DCC AFTER running it in on DC) but I really don't want one of these Hornby decoders in...

Re: Where's the Hornby R3615 Peckett gone?

Many thanks for all the replies members. I managed to get a brand new one today for £85 at the REC Woking exhibition. This will need a decoder and further research into which one will be posted in the DCC forum thread here: https://www.newrailwaymodellers.co.uk/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=54671#...

4 pin decoders?

Does anyone else make 4 pin DCC decoders the same dimensions / socket as a Hornby X9659?
It's to go in my new Hornby R3615 Peckett.

Re: Seep v Solenoid difference?

Can be difficult to position under your points. I recently came across and bought this tool for easier fitting of seep point motors. https://www.newrailwaymodellers.co.uk/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=48176&start=735#p669871 I haven't tried it yet but it looks the business for new modellers l...

Where's the Hornby R3615 Peckett gone?

I've looked on Hornby's website and the R3615 Peckett is not listed.
Other Peckett locos are. https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/catalogsea ... ?q=peckett
Was there something wrong with this model?
Thanks
