Managed to get the boards cut this afternoon and fitted to the framework just need to trim the end board to fit the framework,then I can start laying the rest of the mainlines on the hinged section and get trains running again. Well with the track as it is on the incline I can pull 6 coaches up with one loco and 10 with two but once I replace the steel track I have on the incline with nickel sliver,and add weight to each 47 I should beable to pull more than 6 with one Class 47 and even more with two and lengthen the inclin...

Yes the first pic is of the Pride of Toton and the second pic is just a standard Virgin Class 47 i have double headed them twice once on my old layout and was ok,and once on my new layout but i need to replace some of the steel track on the incline and add abit of weight to them as they slip abit pu...

I have the end framework built now i just need to cut the boards to fit them then the mainlines can be laid down and pinned in place but waiting for a dry day to cut them,and once that is done then i can run trains properly around the layout and at the weekend i will make the last part of the hinged...

Well i have managed to get off my backside and start the hinged section which i have got the bit that hinges to the main layout i just need to finish off the frame of that part and then i will move onto the other bit that hinges to that,and once that is done i will build the end section that joins t...

Haven't got anything done on the layout since the last updated due to a bad cold which has been affecting my asthma so i have been fighting that off,but i hope to be back in the loft this weekend to get the hinged section built and in place for the trains to start running again. Yes using every inch of space as once all track is down and trains running there will be just enough room for two or three people which will be me controlling the trains and one or two watching them going round, and with me using the three crossings i can now drive a train out from the hidden siding...

Michael your layout is looking truely amazing and has quickly grown from a 8x4 to this massive great layout and i am looking forward to seeing more,and i think i really need to get into gear quickly as your moving along quickier than i am with my layout and i started a year ago.
