... ( penguins table top n gauge layout springs to mind as an example - if my memory serves me right)... Ned. Thanks Ned :D I am following your thread, but as others have said not always commenting, but following nevertheless. I have now moved on and changed scale 8) - as I am now into narrow gauge...

Re: Micro layout in O-16.5

I have been continuing to build up the contours using polystyrene covered in a thin layer of polyfilla. But I have also been thinking about a small station building (hut!) for my little halt. I'm thinking something along the lines of a simplified and smaller version of Nant Gwernol: https://s0.geogr...

Wow! Superb!
In particular I love the weathering on your locos and wagons - some very atmospheric photos there 8)
34 wagons and 11 coaches is impressive indeed = only in N gauge :D

I am now a real fan of narrow gauge myself; albeit in 7mm scale :D
Nice to have multiple gauges in the layout - but it looks like you taking this further and also going multinational? French and Anglo-Irish?

Re: Stainsacre

I have been around for years, but for the second time in my forum history a slight mistake and the press of the wrong button and last night my entire profile was deleted. In the early days I went by the name of Lofty, but a house move five years ago meant I gave up my cave in the loft and I rebrand...

Just to prove that I don't only drink Hobgoblin beer , below is proof that I am also partial to a drop of Abbott  Gluing some hardboard fascia boards onto my little layout (quite nice to be able to simply stand it on its end for this sort of thing!) https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/493983182...

Re: Micro layout in O-16.5

A little bit more work this weekend after dropping youngest back at Uni :D The road overbridge at the left end of the scenic side of the layout has been toned down with dark washes, and soot added by weathering powder (hope I haven't overdone that!) and glued into position: https://live.staticflickr...

Thanks for interest :D I have now attached the backscene to the layout - with small metal angle brackets. It will come off again for attaching the actual scene! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49333889652_76ca96b7bb_b.jpg IMG_9503 by Pink Nosed Penguin , on Flickr The road bridge has also progre...

Wow, looks like a serious sized model railway :D - do you have a rough plan of the loft to help us put the different sections into perspective? I love the raised track in your scenic section 1, and you have a decent amount of space to do the urban area justice too - great plan! Also you are very bra...
