Re: I've had an idea...

While looking on the sales I’ve noticed they are doing smart plugs alongside Alexa devices, it got me thinking about this thread & in theory the smart plug with an Alexa should achive voice on/off Talking to a friend who uses it they say it can be a little slow so thought the emergency stop butt...

Re: Legality or moral ethics

I'm not holding my breath for a returns label when the correct third item arrives. I suspect the seller's employees can't be bothered. We ordered 5 boxes of A4 paper, the seller instead delivered 5 reams (1 box) after a fair amount of arguing with them Amazon stepped in and refunded us, the seller ...

Re: I've had an idea...

It will be interesting to see how you get on, i had a similar thought for my layout in the loft - my controller does stop everything but if your on the other side of the loft it can take a few moments to get to the controller  So my idea was one of these at each end of the layout - have not got...

Re: Legality or moral ethics

I’m glad the store is sorting it out for you, I have had a few similar situations in the past with the seller refusing to help implying I am at fault  the last one was an Ofer that only had 1/2 the volume ordered & took a fair bit of faffing around to resolve  Other times the seller ...

Re: More eBay nonsense...........

I was not aware that juvenile primates now enjoy their railway modelling along with their human relatives. In all fairness not everyone has the same level of skills as you & we all need to start somewhere, it’s hard to know the story behind it just from an eBay listing. Being dislexic I get thi...

Re: Montfort's Bridge

Re: Where to solder?.

i did a video on it last month which you may find helpful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viEqNrL9HaY&t=56s Its how i do it after a fair bit of trial and error with other peoples suggestions, its one of those things you just need to practise to find your style of doing it. I hated it with a pass...

Re: Not impressed

Interestingly i have been watching some YouTube videos of people building aircraft kits and they use white gloves to keep the model clean, tad far for me b...
