Re: South Cheshire Model Railway Clubs???

Hi all,
I went to the event yesterday, met a few Crewe club members and now know where, when and how to get there and so will be visiting soon.

Re: Weathering/Airbrush/Bachmann/Air Supply Question

I bought some weathering powders this morning and have had a tinker with them, I like the results especially as these are first attempt's. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4456/23699417548_e6a6e1e4ac_k.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4479/37519897712_217ba46279_k.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/...

Thanks for all the advice and opinions, I have considered all and decided to bin my airbrush and canisters.
I will go back to paints, washes and weathering powders.

Re: Weathering/Airbrush/Bachmann/Air Supply Question

There are no refills that's the point you recharge it with a tyre pump.
I also said a compressor is too noisy for me.

Weathering/Airbrush/Bachmann/Air Supply Question

Hi all I have a few Bachmann weathered wagons they have light weathering and I have some other Hornby and Bachmann wagons that are not weathered. I also have an Airbrush which the air supply is from can's and the amount of airbrushing I in-visage I cant justify the cost of a compressor and all the a...

Re: Scalescenes T022 Terraced Houses

When your ink ran out after only 20 sheets was it a new printer? Some times cartridrge's included with a new printer only have 10% fill. Also cheaper printers with the 3 inks in one cartridge don't hold much ink at all and need renewing even if 2 colours are are 50% full but one other low. Also try ...

Wagon Prefix Numbers

I am sure this must have been asked before but I just can't find it. Wagon running number prefix's, I think I may have got a couple but it seem to depend on era too. I am 1957 – 1966 British Railways Late Crest and I think if prefix is ' M ' then its ex-LMS and if ' W ' then its ex-Western! But what...

South Cheshire Model Railway Clubs???

I know about the Alsager Club but I keep seeing bits and pieces about a Crewe Club and living in Crewe this interests me but a google search brings up little detail and no contacts or venues?

Any one know any more?

Re: When Were Real Electric Points Introduced

That information will do me. I have a layout 1960 - 64, but with 14 points it would be complicated to get rods to them all. A couple will be hand operated, and with this info I can have some rod controlled and some electric.

Thank you 'Ex-Pat' :D

When Were Real Electric Points Introduced

When were real life electric controlled points introduced. I was on a train yesterday Crewe to Birmingham and saw plenty of electric ones, but I was on the lookout for point rodding but saw none. I have done some online searches but I can't pin down the date for the introduction and change over. Can...

Re: Controller problems NCE Powercab

I had a similar problem but thought I have pressed something wrong, then in the Manual (Rev. 1.65 on the cover) On page 57 there is a Reset System Command. Its in the Set CMD Station Menu.

I did this and all was good again.
