Re: Coppenhall Goods (Late Crest) 00

I have not done much since last post but started tinkering again, There is one thing I must look at but have been avoiding that's signalling (I know nothing). My layout is Late crest around 1960-64. I know that a change over from semaphore to light signal's was around this time but what about on goo...

Dummy Point motors?

I have a few dummy point motors to fit to my layout, I want to get them orientated correctly! I am assuming they are universal or closest to the control point (Junction box/ signal box) in the real world or are they always to the left or right, facing the single line or vice versa. Can anyone help a...

Re: Insulated Van Light Blue - TOO BLUE!

Here is my second attempt, On the first wagon I had not let the matt coat dry enough before applying powder. I did not want to go too far or dirty as it needs to blend in with my factory weathered stock. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4662/39091909395_e2e5dc334b_c.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/...

Re: Insulated Van Light Blue - TOO BLUE!

I have only applied Humbrol White powder but I am much happier with the colour.

Insulated Van Light Blue - TOO BLUE!

I have just received 2 Bachmann 38-190B 10 Ton BR Insulated Van Light Blue. Very nice But too blue, When you see them against the tone of the other wagons and layout the blue pop's out, they even stand out compared to the white wagons, I do want to keep them and plan to weather them. Whats the best ...

Bachmann Class 08 Renumbering

Bachmann 32-113 Class 08 Shunter D3032 in BR Green Late Crest. I have this loco and wish to renumber it, however I have some questions. When looking at transfers I find a couple of problems, On the model the numbers in cream and if you look at numbers there does not seem to be the 'D' included. But ...

Re: Bachmann 31-455, 41212.

That narrows you down to 41204 as the rest were push-pull fitted locos which Bachmann have not yet realised without a split chassis mechanism. Re: Bachmann 31-455, 41212.

I have almost decided to go for the Bachmann 31-440. I will have to change the Number, Crest and Shed number. Is there any other detailing worth carrying out? As I have said I would like it to be a Crewe Built and in the Crewe shed's so from that my research leaves me with 4 Loco's 41204, 41212, 412...

Re: Bachmann 31-455, 41212.

Is there are sites which give information when models changed over from split chassis.

For Bachmann, Hornby etc.
