No room for fiddle yard or run round loop, wall at rear (top) and sides.

I am still in the design stage of my approximate 9' by 2' or 7' by 2'6" end to end shunting layout. Using Peco 75 track. As a space saver the double slip is better than 2 points head to head but with the more complex track and operation is derailment more of an issue or not? Same question for t...
