Re: quick advice needed please

Well I would do some research, look on eBay and google the part number to find out what they go for etc,but really I believe that some thing is only worth what you are happy to pay for it!

Re: moving house and being in the dog house

Treat yourself to a new loco,I've been trying to get my other half to spend her money on trains for a while but I can't get her to give up her expensive hobby of collecting steiff teddy bears!

Re: layout design app ?

Hi,I don't know about any apps, but I have got hornbys track aster r8145 and that is alright,I run it on windows 7 ,I don't know if it will run on apple products, the only thing about it is you can't share it with anyone because you have to activate it via the Internet.

Re: dcc controller

Hi,I run on a hornby select,it suits me at the moment as my old layout was a 6x4 with two ovals and a bit of a goods yard ,I upgraded to the bigger 4amp transformer and found it handled a couple of locos on the two ovals also another in the goods yard without any problems,I'm not to bothered about a...

Re: DCC Engines Running Too Slow

Hi,I have not read all the replies to your question but I run on dcc as well,I only have a select so I cannot adjust cvs but I have also noticed that some locos run slower than others, some locos you expect to fly run slow but I think that is just the way it is.

Re: Ripped off with "hornby" track

Contact the seller and tell him it is not what was described and that you want to return the track for a refund, you do have rights even on eBay,if he says no then give him negative feedback, but from my experience most sellers are reasonable and you may be ok ,mjb

why dont you just build your layout directly above the tank,it looks like you have two lengths of 3x2,one either side of the tank.

Re: Hornby DCC Operation

Hi,I run dcc but I have a select,I may be wrong but surely with the 4amp power supply you get with the elite you should only need 1 set of connections to the whole circuit,as all the track layout is permanently live,if you look at a hornby track plans book they say that a dc layout may need extra fe...
