I would say .. No. Tracks normally look rusty dirty browny colour. But it depends where the tracks are. If they are in and around a yard or steam engine shed or workshops you may not see the sleepers at all for the build up of dirty grime old ash and coal ect. I would go for the rusty dirty brown l...

Thankyou for your fast replies,,and 'NO' footplate halfords don't sell railway colours ,I just mentioned halfords as somewhere I could possibly buy some Matt spray cheaper ,,,so back on topic I would be best going for a browny rust sort of colour ,I'll have a look ,,thankyou :D ,,mjb

Hi ,,,I've been thinking about spraying the tracks with the sleeper grime spray to tone down the shiny sleepers ,now model match sleeper grime is £15.50"on eBay / £7.50 plus post from hattons,I think a bit expensive so what about ordinary Matt black spray ,would that give the same result or not...

Hi,,it depends on how prototypical you want to be or are,me personally would just pick any one ,but maybe not the HST ones with the velenta engine sound files ,or a more expensive one that is correct for your dmu,hope this helps ,,mjb

Hi spike,,,do you remember what controller they used in the shop,my guess would be an American one ,NCE,MRC ,if you don't perhaps you could email them ,if you can find out what controller it is then you know which one should work ,,just a thought mjb

Thanks again guys for your replies,,,ironduke,F8 on the decoder is cab lights on/off but thanks anyway ,it doesn't effect it's running and responds to the commands I send it ,you know I think it is part of its shut down / stop sequence ,this is my first diesel sound loco ,I'm used to steam engines ,...
