Re: Big disappointment!

Hi Bulligan,,,,,,sounds like one of the screws have undone it self ,,have you checked to see if one is missing ,when you've calmed down take a look at the damage ,I'm sure you could straighten the rods to a satisfactory level and get the loco up and running ,,,I've had this happen on a few Locos ,I ...

Re: Princess Coronation class Queen Elizabeth - another Hornby dud

Yes it is streamlined. Looking at these comments does this mean I should delay sending it back. because after I remove the bubblewrap, it will run clockwise and anticlockwise providing I only run it on 1st radius curves? The box says the mininum radius curves are 438 mm so I was never going to run ...

Re: Princess Coronation class Queen Elizabeth - another Hornby dud

Just removed the bubble wrap and now he runs clockwise,,,,can't blame Hornby for trying to protect the loco in transit but I'm sure they could put a little note in the packaging to let you know ,, :D :D :D

Re: Princess Coronation class Queen Elizabeth - another Hornby dud

Well, well, well,,,i took delivery of my Princess Coronation King George V1on Monday ,,,the strange thing is ,if I run it clockwise the front pony truck lifts off the rails on 3rd radius and back on the rails when it enters the straight ,but if I run it anti clockwise it runs a treat ,,,time to look f...

TTS DECODER ,,BIT OF A SURVEY

Hi ,,,,I've got four TTS trains ,Gadwall,Duke of Gloucester,Tornado, and C of the North ,,,,all of them suffer with the jerky running at slow speeds ,changing the agorythm helps a little but doesn't clear it altogether ,I've often wondered if it is down to the make of controler ,,I'm using MRC Prodig...

Re: What would you use?

2 x 1 was never ever true size. Most wood yards would say it was planed all round (par) from 2 x 1 rough cut stock. My next board will be at least 12mm ply top with a similar or more thickness ply frame as I found the softwood timber framing never held its shape over time, resembling those expensiv...

Re: Gaugemaster Prodigy

Just an update on my prodigy units. Gaugemaster was happy to repair these at a price which meant I either had to post them or take them down in person. However I decided to open up the units and then unscrewed the motherboard, I then decided to drop 2 or 3 drops of meths down each side of the rotar...
