Re: Rare as hens teeth

Re: old hornby points and point motors

New plan, thinking I can remove the switch on the old points and the plastic casing altogether and drill a hole on the side instead of in the middle, thus making them work in thge normnal way, albeit the pins on the one side of the tiebar intsead of in the middle. Any significant problems you can se...

Re: let it snow!

Thanks, it's been snowing here since yesterday afternoon but still only about 3 inches. Was quite surprised at the flour, was a bit dubious about it at first, the only grip I have about it is the colour, it looks a very slightly yellow white, or flour white (funnily enough) rather than a clear white...

Re: Laser cut card and paper coach

Nice work there, I too have free access to a lasercutter and 3d printer at school, and I can cut card for pennies, although not sure it would be suitable, can't think how thick it is, will look after thge snow has cleared and I go back to school :D. We stock 3mm plastic, which is a bit thick really,...

Re: let it snow!

Hmm, I only went to my locsl preservation line last week for a tour introducing me to the carraige works where I will b volunteering for my DofE (more on that in febuary) and the trains don't actually run in the winter anyway, so I doubt I will actually be getting a proper railway outing for a while...

let it snow!

Well, seeing as I've been snowed out of school today :D, I decided that i just wanted to do a little model thing with some snow. I had a hunt around for an old loco and some card buildings that weren't in use at the time and this is what I came up with: snow 1.png on this one I just removed the back...

Re: 4mm interiors: furniture

in some ways, i do envy my grandad and his G scale railway (even though it costs a fortune) he buys quite a lot of "doll's house" things, he bought some really nice wndows for his signal box, a luxury we as OO gauge modellers don't really have. however, if someone did make these, would i r...
