Re: Hornby in the news today

In terms of technology, the past is the past, and should remain there. It was what it was. Like DC's stuck in the muds,DCC is finally THE long overdue finally established embraced operating standard now like it or not, refuse to acknowledge it or not I beg to differ DCC is one way to control toy tra...

Re: Hornby in the news today

The article in the link in the first post is total and utter rubbish. The Hornby company of today uses the old Hornby name from the past and is not connected to them . It was not founded by Frank Hornby at all. The Hornby business was sold in the Sixties to the Lines Brothers

Re: Diesel Flying Scotsman

Baby Deltics worked local trains in and around Kings Cross and sometimes out towards Cambridge. I dont think they were ever let loose on class one passenger workings mainly due to their low power output of 1100hp. Expresses in the late 60s on the ECML were almost exclusively in the hands of the big...

Re: Shawplan.

Totally uncalled for and post reported to admins. What I should have said and meant in the post was We do not know the reason for this message do we ? it could be a very personal reason as to why no phone calls etc are being answered. Re: Shawplan.

Pretty disappointing that they/he won't reply to emails or even answer the phone. I got a recorded message saying that they won't answer phone calls. Time to look for some fine mesh and try and make my own. Maybe he's getting older and can't stand the pace any more, you never know. Do you know why?...

Re: Oxford Rail N7

I wonder when we get to see this model now? With Oxford Rail's owner now Hornby's CEO one can imagine all sorts of scenarios. It was already noticeable before he took the Hornby job that the communication rate from Oxford Rail was down, and the previous 'rapid progress to on-sale once an announceme...

Re: Where have they gone?

All this fuss over an update to a system or a hiccup/malfunction makes me laugh. All systems need updating and suffer glitches now and again but when it happens all sorts of stupid speculation occur and the end of the world is nigh.
