Re: A few pictures from the South

Thanks for posting these pics. I saw this train waiting entry into the depot at Wembley and wondered where it had been. It's the first time I've seen the new livery in the flesh. Personally I'm happy with the second shot as it is, a bit longer and I think you lose on the scenic aspect. I am aware th...

On the plus side, the sky looks great!! You could probably get more out of that shot by altering certain colour levels. I'm absolutely rubbish at that sort of stuff though. EDIT: Just had a quick play with the image and I think it looks better with some of the brightness taken out of it. What size i...

excellent photos there mate, some really great angles, and locations keep up the ace work :) Seconded! The WAG and 37401 really look nice. Love the sky over 60011, how do manage to get the sky to pop out like that - do you shoot RAW and convert or jpg? I'm still looking for subjects to experient wi...

Few shots from the last few weeks, The WAG is just south of Abergavenny whilst the rest are just north of Lydney. The 37 is on the Cwm and Go Railtour. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m128/stowfield/Diesel%20Railways/Mar%202009%20Severn/DSC_0009_1.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m128/stowf...

Some great shots there Adam, 37 401 seems to have gained another headboard by the time it reached me. The XC HST looks great, I'll have to grab one soon.

I think the grass looks great, leave the bigger step at home. Great pics, the first one especially.

I'll second that. Just someone wanting to screw up someone elses day. Fortunately no one mans my local station.....not that there's much there to photograph anyway.

Diversions are usually good news for someone. I'm looking forward to the Severn Tunnel being shut. Interesting pics, looks like you had a nice sunny day.

Re: BrotherWolf's Rly Pics *New 11/03, 57, 60 and 170's*

Love the Advenza 37, did you use a wide angle lens? Cracking shots - the house and the boast in the last shot really adds something extra; the Advenza and the 60 are both nice shots of 'rare' working. What camera do you use? The camera is my new Nikon D90 with a 18-105mm lens (27-155mm as a 35mm SL...

Re: BrotherWolf's Rly Pics *New Pics 05/03, 57, 66 and 175's*

At the end of the month, I believe the Severn Tunnel will be closed at the weekend. This means we get HST's down the Severn Line. OK HST's aren't the most exciting trains in the world but it adds novelty. As a result I decided to head for Gatcombe to check out a few locations. I had some luck with t...

Re: A few pictures from the South

One more for the week. 67025 'Western Star' hauls the VSOE Murder Mystery tour en route back to London. My first 67 pic, although I would have liked to see one of the alternative liveries. Having now seen a 67 in the flesh, I'm still not a big fan! I've seen a few now, though yet to get a pic. The ...

Re: BrotherWolf's Rly Pics *New Pics 05/03, 57, 66 and 175's*

The strange thing about Kilpeck bridge was that whilst only two people walked past while I was there, they both asked if a steam train was due. I think this maybe a popular spot when a special comes through.

Re: BrotherWolf's Rly Pics *New Pics 25/02/0 mostly DMU *

Just bought a Nikon D90 so went off on monday to take some pictures for Geograph and get some railway pics too. Mixed day really, got the WAG but thought the Light Engine 66 was the coal train which slipped by as I went to take a picture of a nearby church. The last few pics were to see what the loc...

It could be that because it's the top viewed picture, visitors automatically click on it. It's a kind of self fulfilling prophecy.
