Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Also from the package and next to come down the line is my new (old) Lima class 50 'Revenge' in BR blue. 'Revenge' because my grandmother's father was on HMS Revenge in the second world war. 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg To go with it I got two more railroad range container wagons to go with the solitary one I ...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Time for a new update. First of all I'd just like to say that most of these pics are from around new years, but I've been ill with a bad chest infection and on antibiotics that made me feel dizzy and sick, at the same time I have had an allergic reaction, according to my doctor, in my fingers (you w...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Good sense to eliminate the redundant crossover. The cliffs have a dramatic appeal and make for a nice view block. Still amazed how you got three mains into your space. Thanks, I'm planning on using the craft brewery as a station as well for a narrow gauge line in the centre of the board which will...

Re: Hornby Steampunk models

I 'm really confused to the poor reaction of people to the buildings. If you are into steampunk its got to be a good starting point in this hobby, you are given a model lightly garnished with bits as opposed to buying a fully finished 'real life' style building which you might not have felt like mod...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Just some parting shots of the bridge and tunnel, they look so rough at the moment and I look forward to the point where I can tie them into the landscape better and sort out all the loose ends. Oh and the first one is proof it'll hold up an HGV  1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg 5.jpg That's all I got ...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Next came the bridge deck itself which I constructed from buts of the Metcalfe platform kit I had spare which worked out reasonably well although it is skewed because of the cliff shape and while single platform lengths were sufficiently long enough to do the tunnel side of the bridge the other side...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Now, word on the street is that there has been some scenic progress! I would tell you not believe all that you hear, but in this case the rumour is true. In fact construction had begun on the road bridge and tunnel at one end of the cliff, first off I made a fairly plain portal that will be mostly h...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Well done. Have you changed your sidings track plan ? I have, I have changed it slightly to allow two siding roads for goods and then a seperate turnout leads to the loco fuelling road as i feel like it gives me two additional isolated sidings/storage areas on the layout, which is handy considering...

Re: New Range announcements

Preordered the Christmas wagon as usual and the year wagon as its a nice blue. I also ordered 'Merton' as I've missed all the new LBSC terriers so far, I'd love leadenhall but no funds and can't get Brighton and Merton as they are both due in July. So opting for the limited edition one...lol, jk, th...

So this is just a quick post that follows the last one with two or three photos of the new stock on the layout. The Christmas present train was parked up, unloaded, and put away for twelve more months. 1.jpg Robert Horne gets ready to depart with the new suburban set, while the Sentinel shunts the n...

Time for a late festive post I suppose, to show off my presents and a few other things to say, seeings as we are on the brink of world war 3 I thought I better get on with uploading, but I just haven't had time until now. Anyways I found the little snowmen I had on my 4ft by 4ft circular layout from...

Re: What was your first model train?

My very first clockwork set was from a company called Chad Valley, about who I never heard any mention. It was only half a century later that searching for the remnants of the Harbourn line that I found the Chad Valley viaduct hidden amongst trees in an urban woodland and next to it a repurposed ol...
