Re: Unusual part number for Hornby

I noticed that the Oxford Rail buildings announced last year were pretty much all in the Hornby range too, I figured Hornby are just making the stuff for them as well as in their own range but no idea.

Hi Alex. Glad to hear you received the bridge. You’re very welcome. Also, I wouldn’t be offended if you didn’t use it. Your call. Looking forward to your next update. Thanks Dan Here it is, finally passengers can access both platforms: FB1.jpg FB2.jpg It rests completely on the platform in some pos...

Hi Alex. Glad to hear you received the bridge. You’re very welcome. Also, I wouldn’t be offended if you didn’t use it. Your call. Looking forward to your next update. Thanks Dan Well I hope I will get it sat properly, I very much would like to use it as it is what I envisioned for the footbridge in...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

I love the engine shed. It looks ideal to use up space on the corner of your layout. :) Yes, the engine shed and coaling stage are a nice corner filler. Thanks, I was torn between either having a short section of dock on an engine shed but decided on a shed because I had stuff to hand and wanted to...

Cinders &Ashes! The next job I got up to was to secure the engine shed, and the water crane and grooves for the legs of the coaling stage with the ashes and cinders scatter from Peco that I bought when I got the station kit. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49774354498_5c1ff34e16_o.jpg https...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

That footbridge reminds me of the one I had in my Horby Dublo days, only mine was green and was sold by a company called Crescent, who I presume were contracted to produce the HD ones and allowed to sell some themselves. The parts were totally interchangeable with the HD ones which makes me think t...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

It needs a clean up and probably painting...

Thanks
Dan

It looks it pretty good physical condition though and would hopefully reach both platforms. Would you be looking for much for it?

Thanks,
Alexander

Thanks, I need to make a montage of running clips and stick it on youtube so people can see the layout in action at somepoint.

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

I'm loving the work on the station buildings, especially the planking in the shelter. At least you got your 'care package' of beers. Lockdown is a real pain for us all, hopefully it will do what it is intended and we can get back to normal soon. Keep up the good work on the layout Thanks Dan Thanks...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Boxes Boxes! That's what I had on my desk last week, I was able to save up enough to order some coaches, all preowned of course. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49775188802_e8c846388b_o.jpg So what's in the boxes? Well, since I had to sell almost all my 00 gauge back in 2016 in order to get a l...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

So, first update of a few I plan to do, this one is about my 14XX '1424', or rather that I managed to get an autocoach to go with it which I'm rather happy about, pre-owned from Hattons for a decent price, lacking some ladder hand rails on one side, its actually in very good condition: https://live....

A job well done, Alexander. Glencairn Thanks, I forgot to post this before but I got an order of beer the other day, I'm slowly working through it as I don't know when the next few will arrive as I have ordered more. Lockdown is extended and the pubs might not open until after the summer, maybe not...

Re: Beaglington-On-Sea 00 gauge in 6ft by 4ft

Those things that you always intend to get round to doing and never do.... For some years now my Lower Skaledale platform shelter has had a gaping hole in the back of it and i decided it was finally time to get it repaired and repainted. I built up the planking bit by bit with match sticks trimmed t...

Rather happy with how the station building turned out in the end, it'll have to have some posters applied to it in future.

Yes, I'd be happy too, it quite looks the part.

Thanks!
