2012 End of Days competition- Dapol kit challenge

Hi Everyone, I've finally got round to round to starting my entry, so I thought I should start my log. So, what is my project about. I'm doing what is kind of a kit bash, as I built one of Dapol's loco kits, and it did not look so good so I thought I would weather it and put it into scrap yard condi...

Re: Hornby Class 142 - Poor runner

If its shaking, then it's just like the real thing, lol. Anyway, it could be to do with electrical pick-ups, the problems with the Class 142 with Hornby is that as it has only got 4 wheels per coach, it's pick-ups are not very good, and they very much rely on the device which connects the two ...

Re: Hornby 2012

Yeah, moterised doors would be good, and even moterised pantographs on some models. I also saw on a DVD that with the Roco controller and some 'other stuff' they can open doors and lift pantographs from the controller, quite cool I think as you can actually make a use of opening doors. They do them ...

Re: Hornby 2012

Working doors on locos, coaches, wagons and buildings, mean opening doors or possibly even doors that you can opperate from the controller on DCC.

Re: Bachmann 3F - LMS release - an initial review.

Wow, she looks amazing. I will probably be getting one, I have been after a similer loco for a while. By saying 'Semi Pernimently coupeled' tender, does that mean it comes coupeled by the wires However it is possible to remove them?

Re: T9 Imperial Airways set - out now.......

Looks a nice set, I quite like the T9s, it would be good to have it in a set. I might get one. Thanks for starting the thread Tony. Also, about the tender plug, I don't find it that hard to do on my models that have one (Black 5, 3 A4s and a A3), I have got a little tool to remove it with. I think i...

Re: More new build projects.

Oh right, I preumed it would take about 10 years to build from scratch. I do agree with Kieran about locos being built as there was no other class members in prservation, people should have thought about this when locos were being offered for preservation. Although I do like the idea of a L1, it is ...

Re: More new build projects.

Thompson L1 Would be nice, but as you have said Kenny it might not get far. I can't read the Facebook page, I logged in but was unable to view it, but I take it's a A4 planning on being built. It's hardly going to be going ahead, I'm a massive fan of the A4s and even I can enderstand this. As alread...

No, I actually quite like them in Green. But for some reason I just don't think this one would look in green.
