Re: BR 2-10-0 Britannia Class 9F Evening Star

Surely if you're going to outlay that amount, you'd find the extra for this one instead? http://www.ehattons.com/32688/Bachmann_UK_32_850A_Class_9F_standard_2_10_0_92220_Evening_Star_in_BR_Green_with_late_crest_and_BR1G/StockDetail.aspx Or you could probably just buy the Hornby Railroad evening star...

Re: WCML Franchise

I see there are rumours floating around that First have bid way too much for the franchise, and therefore they'll not be able to make a go of it so will probably end up walking away just as happened with Nat Express the ECML. I've also heard this, and think that it is a very real possibility of wha...

Re: WCML Franchise

Re: My Layout

Hello, Sorry for not updating for a while. I thought I should post a update about the method I'm going to control my points with. I think I posted a while ago that I was planning on using Point decoders, and controlling my points through a DCC controller, this has now changed. At the Weekend, I had ...

Re: "Poor man's Brighton Belle"

I saw the Railroad coaches in a update picture I think, and wondered why a model with a price tag like that did not have premium coaches. I thought it might have just been a test that had not had lights, or premium coaches added to it but clearly this is not a mistake and it does have Railroad Range...

Re: BR 2-10-0 Britannia Class 9F Evening Star

Hi, I've got the Railroad model of Evening Star and I can say its is a very, very good model! Its my joint first best runner, the other being A3 Brown Jack, also by Hornby. It also has some good detail for the price, and instead of paying alot more money for the Bachmann Version, you could make it b...

Re: Next A4 project Name ......

Yes thats right Phipps, to get a Railroad A4 and rename it to a loco, probably one of the commonwealth ones. I've got one commonwealth A4 already, A4 'Empire of India' I might get a few Hornby ones, and then get a few ones from the railroad range so I can rename and number them. I was thinking of do...

Re: R2239 Mallard

I agree with the adivce above, return it. Make sure you return it to who you bought it from first instead of Hornby. To add to been lucky with the spring, two of my 3 A4s came without them, and on one of the models the spring been missing caused the model (A4 Falcon from The Heart of Midlothian Trai...
