Re: NRM 2015 N gauge tour

Sorry guys, not only did my wife lose her dad to cancer a couple of months ago but my daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to go in for a double mastectomy yesterday. On top of this they found a lump in my bowel and I go in for a cat scan tomorrow, Thursday. I've not been able to add gr...

Re: Hattons Dispatch times

I have nothing but good things to say about Hattons. I must have ordered 20 to 25 different times over the past 3 years and everything has arrived as expected, well packed with no damage to any of the contents. I am in the USA and items always arrive here within 7 days. For example I placed a big or...

I know where you can get these. PM me if you are interested.

Re: Looking for sound chip for Farish DMU 876DS

Have you tried contacting the suppliers recommended by Bachmann? They can at least advise you.[/quote] To be honest, no I have not. I was asking whether anyone knew whether those chips were available outside of Bachmann. I guess the sensible thing would be to contact those suppliers. I will let you ...

Re: Looking for sound chip for Farish DMU 876DS

Soundtraxx Tsunami2 allegedly fits n gauge and is DCC and dc compatible. It came up when I Googled 'n gauge sound without dcc'. Thanks for the reply. What I need is the soundcard that Bachmann had specially designed to fit this Class 108 DMU. Without a DCC system how would I set the Soundtraxx to w...

Looking for sound chip for Farish DMU 876DS

I recently purchased from EBay the latest DMU from GF, the 2-car blue DMU set number 371-876DS. The seller had informed me that he had removed the sound chip and replaced it with a blanking plate. Seeing as I only run DC I thought no big deal. However, I'm led to believe that this particular model w...

Re: Hidden / inaccessible track

You need to make sure the hidden area is accessible and for at least 2 reasons. Firstly, you will at some point have a train derail or stall in a hidden area and if you can't get your hand in there you will have a dickens of a job retrieving it. Secondly, and I have no idea why this always happens, ...

Re: pre made switch panels?

I'm in the US and have been buying panels from Harry Bibby in the UK for several years now. His panels, for both signals and points, work perfectly He's on EBay here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/harryelectrotech?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 As an FYI, I am not affiliated with Harry in any shape, way or form...

Re: New Kato Eurostar Imminent?

I'm still tempted to get another one, although all my other stuff is DCC. I know they can be converted, but they're not exactly plug and play. Cheers. I'd get one if I were you. They are superb models. I actually bought 2 sets of the 8-car and 4-car add-ons to run together plus another 2-car set to...

I'm in USA and I'd be willing to pay for that service. Plus it would save the retailed having to pay my shipping charges to send it back to UK and then more shipping to get it back to me

Re: RICKS ZENFOLIO WEBSITE UPDATES

Hi, Since the Old station house at Wansford lends itsself well to Black n White photography I have gone back through my recent images taken during the Southern Railway's Q class charter earlier this month and created a small gallery of images. Not everyone's taste I know but I hope you enjoy the re...

I'm afraid the answer is Yes, they have all been suitably lubricated.
