Re: Reusable, modular layout base in N-gauge

Lovely piece of poly sculpting Alan, looks like a winter wonderland. I totally agree Harry & with your comment on with being able to model below the railway line. It makes the setting look more natural, with the railway built into the scenery. One small detail, though lines can be very straight....

Excellent progress, this has come on rvery quickly.
The three levels give a really good sense of depth to your layout, I like the industrial scene set at the heart of the layout.

Re: Terrys new layout.

Nice update, I like the idea of the Beechamed siding. Also like your viaduct. Is it scratched built? Also regarding Photobucket. You can set it up so that it auto imports pictures in 800 x 600, saves faffing around resizing them in a different media. Though I do wonder if affects picture quality whe...

Re: Reusable, modular layout base in N-gauge

Hi Alan, Firstly, welcome to the forum. Reusable boards are a good idea. Yes time is spent by many in making good baseboards. Though making of the layout can take many yrs, for some even decades of creation & options for expansion etc is often built in. I do have a couple of questions. The cardb...

Re: Staverton Junction

Nice plan Daniel, From what you've drawn. In the bottom left of the plan, I'd suggest have one or both of the points (where it leads up to the end platform & holding siding) as curved points. This would allow the outer siding to follow the 2 main lines much more naturally. Also if you then exten...

Great photos Richard, keep 'em coming. I always like seeing your update, so it would be a shame to see you disappear from here.

Re: n gauge winterish layout now called Rabenkralle

Love the cameos, very original & great scenery modelling work to. As for Harry Potter, his Ford Anglia & chums, I'd have either a Spitfire or BF109 swooping down from above to straffe them to pieces    Look forward to see how the unfinshed side of the layout unfolds & came...
