Re: LED voltage ?

The leds are just 3mm ones I bought online and I have no idea as to the value of the resistor I used, Just pulled it out at random. DCC voltage is supplied by a Gaugemaster Prodigy system.

LED voltage ?

I am progressing quite well with my SEEP PM1 point motors and having wired one up I tested to see that it switched correctly. I now plan to use the auxiliary terminals to operate leds on my mimic board, I briefly wired up two leds direct and indeed it alternated them without any fuss when the motor ...

SEEP Point Motors

I plan to incorporate SEEP motors on all my points in my new layout rebuild. Can anyone assist in telling me which SEEP motors I should be using so that I can use leds to show point dierction on my mimic board.

PECO Asymmetric point wiring

Hi all. I have just purchased 2 x PECO PL-13 accessory switches to link up with the mentioned turnout. There are 3 wire droppers coming from the point and 3 terminals on each of the switches. Can anyone shed any light on the correct wiring up of these please so that I get the correct polarity switch...

Re: DCC on PECO turntable

Just an update with this topic. I decided to drop the idea of a PECO purchase and went for the HELJAN version instead. In my opinion it is far superior as it takes all the problems of dcc polarity changes away. Ok, It isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for, the electronics are mind blowing as the...

DCC on PECO turntable UPDATE

Can anyone be of assistance please. I wish to add a PECO turntable to my already dcc layout. Am I correct in suggesting that I will need some form of reversing module to operate the table when it spins 180 degrees and how do I keep the table rails live so that there is no break which would cause a s...

PECO Asymmetric 3 Way Point

Just taken the plunge and purchased the above point to reduce space in MPD. My layout is completely dcc and I realised that some additional gubbings would be needed to prevent the live frogs from shorting out. I have decided against using the suggested PECO PL-10 turnout motors and the PECO PL-13 SP...

Re: Bachmann or Hornby control?

I would give both Hornby and Bachmann a wide berth, they are cheap and nasty and have limited operational use. As with most things, you get what you pay for so if your budget can stretch, then go for something on the more expensive side. I personally use the Gaugemaster Prodigy system, it's around a...

The locos I had in mind were standard Bachmann diesels with fitted sound decoders.

Bachmann Directional lights.

I am seeking an answer to a question regarding directional lights with standard Bachmann sound decoders. Whilst they look quite realistic when running light engine, they cease to look authentic when coupled with a train as the rear leds remain lit. Can the decoder which I think is an ESU in a Bachma...
