Re: St. Blazey's - My first layout - Stage 3 Building

What excellent signage - icing on cake stuff!

"As a side note the seller also sells card kits for OO and N ....." indeed. I've had a couple of his low reliefs and am butchering one of the older factory frontages at present. Recommended.(Also no relationship.)

Re: A Small Project...

Well, didn't have actual problems with electrofrogs (never before used anything else) but in very small spaces Setrack has advantages!

Seems to be fine for running....

Whoops wrong movie....maybe this one!

Re: A Small Project...

Thanks Jim. Yes, traversers would be nice , but beyond my skill grade as I have found out in the past! Keeping this as simple as possible although I have added a siding to the fiddle yard/off-scene area (mainly because I bought four points in an ebay lot!). http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p56/was...

A Small Project...

Having toyed (sic) with plans that would have been simply too expensive, started basic construction of a two board L shape. Boards done and Setrack for the 60" x 10" fiddle (well, non-scenic) section purchased and test-laid. To my surprise the 0 6 0 Hornby runs just fine. And isn't insulfr...

Re: My first ever model railway build.

So many details, all so very good, that the overall effect is first rate! The winding road, the surface of the farm track, the perfectly positioned livestock......love it all!

Re: Leicester Fosse (Central) Sishades new epic

The sheer quantity of built kits on view makes my brain hurt! I've always tended to the pessimistic - I don''t think I've ever expected to live long enough to assemble such a huge urban scene (and now I know I won't). Much admiration for your skill and enthusiasm - the result is very impressive and ...

Re: Castell Mawr - A joint GWR/LMS route

The size of this - and the time and perserverence implicit therein - rather hurts my small butterfly brain. Wonderful moving pictures! But not being able to have it "permanently" erected/running must surely be so frustrating as almost to negate the objective. Quite apart from the time and ...

Re: Micro at the Little Layout show Werrington, P'boro 10th

Thank you!

As for "I didn't really think anyone would be interested in micro layouts." oh yes we are! Have a look at Tilley Yard South - a famous micro of this parish (and obviously not mine!).

Re: Micro at the Little Layout show Werrington, P'boro 10th

Love it! Yet more photos - especially showing the overall "track plan" - would be very welcome. It looks about the size and atmosphere I'm aiming for and I'm desperately short of "ideas"!

Hope the Show is fun.

Re: DJM J94 on sale

Surely to many folk (certainly ME), it really is no longer acceptable to spend getting on for a ton on a consumer item that only performs as it should "If you can fettle an assembly so that the motor is firmly mounted with the motor shaft perpendicular to the gear shaft, and the worm engaged wi...

So very good! I envy you the space, while knowing that I would never have the patience nor skill to fill it. Thanks for the moving pictures.

Re: 00 Setrack Points.

Thanks. Yes, very short trains! Dictated by the similarly very small, almost micro, dimensions of the "main" board, which will not accommodate train lengths of more 3 or 4 SWB wagons. Worth a test I think.

Re: 00 Setrack Points.

Thanks for that. They'd be in easy "off scene" reach so I'm hoping that the trade off between need for prodding and the bit of extra space worth while!
