Re: Filming at Shrewsbury

Hi again guys. I saw the two tractor units pass by, heading towards Aberystwyth, but didn't get any video footage, as I was working outside on my new garage at the time, lucky that the garage has got a window looking down towards the railway line! They are a lot noisier than our usual 153/3's, but m...

And you would never guess that those tarps started off as a piece of foil... Great work.

Will try it when I get back from the World Scout Jamboree in august sometime.

Thanks John.

Very nice looking layout you've got here Bufferstop sir.

May I ask what did you use for the tarp to go over the loco in the above picture?

Thanks,

Re: Thomas At Silver Fox Island - one for kids to drive

Hi again Geoff, the pure simplicity of this just makes it for me, along with the amazing scenery :) Could we have some close-ups of around where the red landrover is? as I may have a couple of ideas for you there, but I would like to clarrify some things first. ;) Keep the updates coming. I find the...

Looks great there Geoff. Living in rural mid Wales, I see plenty of scenes like this, without the massey 35(?) tractor in it.

Re: Finsbury Road - Taking shape nicely.

Dave, seriously, that looks like a nice solid piece scenery coming a long. Looks absoulutely FABULOUS, can't wait to see it all attached to the layout.

Your step by step guides are really useful and inspiriational. Keep them coming.

Can't wait.

I think I may be using your "mud between the rails technique" soon as I could do with tarting my GCSE diorama up that I did.

Thanks again

Re: Filming at Shrewsbury

Hahaha. I'll have to look at it and see. I'm in it aswell. (You can see my shoulder... probably the best part of me.) In the picture of the Borth parade, I'm the one in the Explorer scout unit baring the standard(You can't see the standard....) on the right hand side of the picture, a beige-y colour...

When I viewed this forum as a "guest" before joining, I always looked at this layout. Really inspiring. I'm not one for cars really, (as long as it gets me from place to place, I don't give a damn.) but that Iveco lorry, WOW. Great work on that mate. Don't suppose you've got a trailer for ...

Re: Wolford - OO Newbie

Great work on the barge.

About the polystyrene sheets, check your local builders merchant as I bought a few from somewhere similar fairly recently, I think they come in 8 by 4 sheets or 4 by 2, or something like that. ;) Then you get the different thickneses aswell.

hope that helps.
