Re: NSE days old oak its future in doubt

Hey Richard, Sorry to hear about your circumstances.

As Chris said, You're taking what you've put into the system over the past years.

And you're keeping positive, unlike some people who just get made redundant and then just sit on the sofa all day. :S

I do hope you find a job soon.

Re: Nethercott Valley Railway BR(W) 9309, Pg10

I'm not sure which is right and which isn't, but perhaps the old owner had cut the running plate back to allow it to fit around tighter curves with less overhang maybe? Not sure. :D

Re: addingford mills 00 gauge roundy round.

Nice looking trackplan. Nice to have some trains going round and round whilst you can just shunt. :D

I'm just wandering, How does your point control method work? I'm guessing you pull the wires, but then are the points sprung or something to push the point the other direction?

Re: Llanidloes and Newtown Railway

Hi Kenny,

I agree with Larry on the valve gear. Also it might be the thingy's that slide on the side of the loco, (Terminology FAIL!) if they are anything like the ones on my 9f, they're flimsy thin mettle bits, you can easily adjust them with tweezers. Just be careful. ;)

Re: My 5" garden railway.

Thanks Foo mate,

Don't think I'll get around to building a Live steam loco atleast until I get a decent flow of cash coming in. And the time....

Thanks for letting me know, I'll take you up on that offer if ever the chance arises.

Thanks Tim! Much appreciated, It's nice to know that our handy-work appeals to people. :D And Blimey, I've just realised how much of a thickness there is on that ramp in some places! I believe that is there though because It counter acts the corner on the digger, sort of thingy. (I know what I'm tal...
