Re: N Gauge or OO?

Why do you say that OO is easier for shunting Kevin? having used both n which i currently model i found from experience that 00 couplings work a lot better then n for shunting and setting up,what the new dapol one's are like i do not know have not used them yet' so for easy of set i would use 00 as...

Re: N Gauge or OO?

00 is easier for shunting but you will get more track work etc in n gauge . My modeling scale is n gauge if i was to do a shunting layout i think i would use 00 because it would be easier to set up and use but it always your choice,if you can get to any shows it might help to make up your mind which...

Re: What's it like having a layout at an exhibition?

:D Hi all The one rule i have when doing a show is that it must run well and try to keep something running so at set up time if it will not run put it back in stock box or siding, take on board all comments and be courteous at all times. It is along day and you will have brain ache voice gone, but wit...

Re: DCC convertion

any loco can be converted some are a lot easer than others i would do the dcc ready ones first ,the others are a bit harder to do but if you can solder it makes life a bit easier some of the sages on here and other web sites will be able to point you in the rightt direction
