It was tomorrow's Channel Coast Express (a pair of WCRC 47s, one on each end) moving to Barnetby.

Re: reverse loop
If that loop is too short to accomodate your train with pickups along its' length, then the front end will collide with the back end still entering the loop, and the back end will also prevent the point being changed to let the front of the train out of the loop. True, but sometimes you can have a ...

Re: Are the Hornby Select and Elite seen as "toy" controllers?
I've got a 180ft layout (awaiting scenery & ballast) & 14 locos. Sorry to go a little off the subject, but do you have any more photos of your layout anywhere? I did a search and found that your layout is 10' x 8'? I'm always interested in seeing layouts of that size, as I have 10' x 9' and...

The Hattons web site is good for this, as they usually have photos with a ruler alongside.

Re: Dapol Class 66 (new tooling version)
Prompted by this thread, earlier today I ordered one of these, without taking any notice of the size: http://www.nairnshire-modelling-supplies.co.uk/back-to-back-gauge-for-n-gauge-p-244.html It says it's 7.24mm. All of my stock is recent; does that mean I've bought the wrong gauge? Steve

One wonders whether Dapol will bother mentioning them for a third time in their magazine adverts as 'coming this month'.

Re: Kato Eurostar coach lighting
I hadn't realised until I looked just now that the coaches don't have pickups already fitted. It seems to me that the Eurostar would be quite a bit trickier than the one you show, given the arrangement of the bogies. But I guess it's probably easier to run wires between the coaches, as you suggest, ...

Kato Eurostar coach lighting
Does anyone know if it's easy or even possible to fit coach lighting to a Kato Eurostar? Kato do LED kits, but I can't work out whether they will fit or not.

Re: ESU Ecos 50200 - Now Dynamis Dies !!!!!!
You can get the ECoS a little bit cheaper by buying from Germany, e.g. Modellbahnshop-Lippe, which is where I got mine from. Works out about £500 currently, I think. You'll need a converter for the PSU plug (but I think that when you buy them in the K, they just supply an adapter anyway, with the sa...
