Re: Mainly 3D Printed LNER Locomotives in N gauge

Man your brave! Good job we are not in the car business! You would get a bad rep if you were! I'm not sure if I'm brave or just plain stupid sometimes! I'm not in the car business, not looking to sell the chassis and haven't hidden the fact that I've cut and shut it so hopefully my reputation (for ...

Re: Mainly 3D Printed LNER Locomotives in N gauge

Some time ago I designed a body tub for an LNER A5/2. However, I've been struggling to find a suitable chassis with the correct 6'6 by 6'6 wheelbase. I recently rediscovered a load of old Farish chassis blocks and was wondering if I could adapt one to work for the A5/2. I printed up a jig to hold th...

Thanks guys! :D

I did take a lot on but that's only because I've got a lot of projects that needed to be kicked back into action!

Re: The 2018 Competition - Voting is open

I've voted too. A really tough one to try and decide who I'm voting for as all the other entries have been really interesting and of a really high standard!

Re: The 2018 Competition

Quite frankly, I think everyone is a winner. Tony I completely agree Tony, all the projects have been fascinating to read through and of a high standard! My own final post on my competition thread is in: https://www.newrailwaymodellers.co.uk/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=52963&p=653205#p653205

Re: Atso's May/June 2018 Competition Entry

Hi all, My final post for this competition. :D My aim for this competition was to finish a project or two and get other things moving again. To recap, my intentions for this competition were: 1.) Test build my V1 3D print. 2.) Get the L1 and County CADs finished and test printed/built. 3.) Resolve r...

Re: Atso's May/June 2018 Competition Entry

Thanks PNP. To be honest my competition entry is more of a get several stalled projects going again. The exception being the track which is something I've been thinking about for awhile now. My D49, Yorkshire is now running acceptably well. In the end the problem turned out to be that the screw I'd ...

Re: Atso's May/June 2018 Competition Entry

Thanks Timbersurf! :D I try to take the view that if I don't attempt something, then I'll never know if I can do it or not- note the word 'try', I don't always manage it as there are plenty of things in life I won't try! A quick snap of the L1 test print printed on my B9 Creator in three secti...

Lovely work PNP. Looking at the before an after pictures, you wouldn't believe that there is an American 0-4-0 under that lot somewhere - Doris looks so natural. 8) 8)

Lovely work Timbersurf and great videos!

I think that having lower the transformer, the whole assembly now looks bigger for some reason! :o

Re: Atso's May/June 2018 Competition Entry

There has been a bit of a delay since my last update but things have still been slowly happening. The L1 has been test printed and some areas for improvement identified. Unfortunately, there has been little progress on the County (I'll try and rectify that over the next two days!). I couldn't resist...
