The tip is knackered. Most irons for electronics have a soft iron core, with a thin tinned outer coating. Once you are through the outer coating, the iron corrodes with the flux and the end eventually collapses in on its self ( I've had this happen several time ). I doubt it is recoverable, but mult...

I've checked and there are loads of church bell sound on the web and I've even found 'light rain' for the morris men (assuming it's set on a bank holiday) :)

Get The sound files and I can put them into one. I have a program called Audacity for recording instruments and mixing them into separate tracks. I may be able to find some tracks to use though during the week.

At a guess, connect one wire of the lights to the - of the transformer and the other to the switch.

It does say it also has 13V AC terminals. Could you have inadvertently of connected to the AC rather than DC?
