Managed to get some photos done. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk169/RaT1745/Frodingthorpe/HPNX0001.jpg The start of track laying. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk169/RaT1745/Frodingthorpe/HPNX0002.jpg Before I got the rest of the boards. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk169/RaT1745/Fr...

Re: Frodingthorpe N gauge

I have a complete loop 8) The first train has move all the way round, the layout is slightly changed and I still need 8 points to complete. I'll try and do some photos tomorrow, but the light isn't that good. Due to using flexi off ebay, some of the joints aren't as flat as I will end up with, all t...

Re: Frodingthorpe N gauge

I don't mean 2" clearance, I mean the bridge is 2" above baseboard. I'm now thinking of just having 1 line in and one out, both connecting to the turntable and storage coming off from there.

identifying points

Is there anyway of identifying all the Peco points I have acquired over time from ebay. I can't spot any part number on them. I have downloaded the code 80 templates and some are longer and don't quite match what I have, so they could be 55 :?: .

Ahhh :) Now I recognise where it's set. If I didn't know the date, I'd think you wanted us to think that isn't real.

Re: April Fools Day at National Rail Enquiries?

You're right  I'd do ashton to Man Vic then Man Vic to Upholland. It comes in at £6.30 - £7.50 and saves £49.50

Re: Frodingthorpe N gauge

Doesn't look like the first board will work. I am allowing a 2" hight gap for the bridge, but with 3% slope the turntable is about 1 1/32" high and keeping points on the flat I get a 3.5% slope coming from the lower line. Am I working to too tight a spec, or is it reasonable to allow for a...

Re: As yet un-named

I have now started a new thread. Work will continue on this one, mainly for running in and as a place to experiment and for when it's to cold in the loft  . I have some signals I have made, to fit. Also my factory needs attaching, once I have found somewhere to store it, where they won't get da...

Frodingthorpe N gauge

I'm nearly in the position to start looking at starting my loft layout (one more board to get and fix). It is loosely based around isle of axholme (between Doncaster and Scunthorpe) so I can include steel, fish and passenger traffic. There is no set period. The layout is inspired by 'Grubbe street' ...
