Re: Windmill hill steam railway! 00 gauge preserved railway

Tell her you need to test it for an hour in each direction. If it doesn't work she won't get paid back until you have a working one. You get 2 hours running in, and she gets paid back as soon as you have the money as you will want to run it again

Re: 50007

Would they not have to wait until someone is deceased before naming something after them, thus reducing the chances of them making a profit in using their name.

Anyway 'Rats Arse' The name is irrelevant as only the number matters. You can name your car Gloria or Tim or what ever ...

Could you get a parent to create the account for you? The owner of the account would then be over 14.

I see you seem to have a facebook account, did you not have to get someone to validate the account? (I believe it has the same or similar age restriction).

You have a short on that point. Have you fitted insulated fishplates on it?

Re: Track cleaning car, tomix N - Compatable with farish ?

Including postage $66 equates to £43.12. Dapol have them at £42.00, postage isn't shown, but any fault and it only has to go to Wrexham and not Japan.

So I'm just finding out :( It's been suggested a larger gap between the motor and the point to allow fuller movement and flex in the pin. Too late for my first one though.

Re: Repainting

Yes, go for sable hair brushes. They are more expensive, but get the size you use most first, and look after them. Good brushes looked after will cost 3x a cheap one and last more than 3x as long.

I'm sure Grotland meant nothing offensive by his last post. Most on here would rate quite high on the spectrum (many know a lot about their chosen grouping or favourite loco to a extreme level, and won't have anything incorrect).

Re: Cleaning stuff with surgical spirit

CD and tape head cleaner should be fine, just put a small amount on a saucer or similar and see what's left after a 10 mins or so. If there is much water in it, it will be left.
