Hi,
Thanks for the feedback on the controller.
What livery is the 37?
Nice looking engines, I have a few OO ones and would like an N one for my roundy.
Regards,
James

Re: My first layout! :D (N Gauge)
Hi,
What do you think of the express controller? - I'll need to invest in a better DCC controller soon and I'm always interested in peoples opinions after using one for a while.
I know it won't do points but that doesn't bother me.
Regards,
James

Re: Table Top N gauge layout - picture update
It certainly looks like I have been making stellar progress - should have entered this in the February build competition!! But that would have been naughty as I started in January. We are catching up with my 'actual' progress pretty quick now, but I do hope to try to maintain the momentum and crack ...

Re: Table Top N gauge layout - picture update
Hi again, Thanks for the comments - the graffiti is all scalescenes - no real effort required from me! I have laid the pavements on the street and added the dreaded double yellows: http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm76/tappj/Coffee%20table%20in%20N/P1030674_zpsi9mdhrrc.jpg http://i293.photobucket....

That last picture angle is a good one.
It will be interesting to see it develop as you complete more scenery.
Cheers,
James

Re: Now N Begins...
Hi, You are making great progress. Well done for having the guts to attempt scratch building and put it up for judgement on here. Not that we will be horrible, but I think it is a big step worth making. The more you do, the better you will get. I doubt anyone started out as an expert. Your efforts s...

Re: Table Top N gauge layout - picture update
Hi again, Thanks - its a cheap 'mandronic' point motor! Right - further update on the 'bridges'. I like to use scalescenes papers but the road needs to knik a bit - I know some have the ability to muck about with pdfs on the computer but I need to rely on the manual method of cutting slight angles a...

Re: Tilley S Yard, an inglenook set in Chicago in winter 195
Hi,
Enjoying watching your progress - the road inlay looks great - I too rely heavily on scalescenes stuff.
I'm also interested to see how the winter theme pans out.
I'm not really into American railroad but the stock and engines do aways look impressive.
regards,
James

Re: Table Top N gauge layout
Hi all, Here is the promised picture update. I placed a piece of 6mm mdf on the supports - profiled for the bridge base on the right and the station area on the left. Before fixing it with pva I primed it top and bottom with grey wick's primer: http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm76/tappj/Coffee%20...

James
