Re: Fibreboard

Just had another thought if fibre board would the board not soak
up any glue that you would be using for ballast and scatter which
if diluted may make boards soft and distort through time.

Re: Fibreboard

They probably would do but it is the fibre contend that you have to be wary of. The last thing you want is fibres getting into your locos motors and causing damage. You maybe able to treat the top surface with some form of sealent but the extra coat and no gaurentee it will work it maybe better thin...

Re: Programming Track

If i remember correctly when I was DCC and had a programming track I set it up this way Isolate the section of track from main track making sure it is long enough to accomodate everything i.e loco and any coaches etc. Then I wired the track using a on-off-on switch connecting centre off to track the...

Re: What controller??

Hi Paul Now I think it may depend how serious you are going to be involved why I ask is if you have caught the bug you could consider DCC unless that is what you have at present. If at present it is DC/Analogue you could have a look at Gaugemaster as the do a selection of DC controllers. If you are ...

Re: Point Motor Screws

Wondering is it for the points motor because I found the screws not the best
for securing unit to board so drilled a slightly larger hole and it allowed me to fit longer and better screws.

Re: new member first post

Hello and welcome to the forum.
If you googled 00 gauge track I'm sure it will come back with array
of sites.
Also you don't need to stick with Hornby there is also Peco as another option.

Re: Points misbehaving- help!

Has some of the glue still on the points blades and not making a good contact.
If DCC maybe the poinys clips are not tuoching the rails properly.

Re: Trouble with Bachmann E-Z track points

I don't want to say cut it and it does not solve the problem as noe expert on this type track. It just sounds like there is power going to both track sides and when i was DCC and using Hornby set points I had to fit point clips to allow the track to be live all the time. Probably if it was me I woul...
