Yes, I think I have to agree - was wondering what the reviewer thought though as have not seen the Hornby ones in the flesh.

Have virtually finished the hillside now. Am looking forward to getting it all painted, 'scattered' and scenic-ified. The plan is to have a footpath running across the hill, with some stiles, along with some fields - and obligatory farm gates. It will also be nice to get the road finished. Am hoping...

Nice work there mate, especially love the last photo, will look even better when the layout is finished! For a while I thought this layout must have been N gauge (it isn't though, right?) - to fit so much into the space you have without it looking overcrowded/wrong... But as far as I can tell it's OO? Thanks for the link. Have just had a look. They are certainly reasonably-priced, but I was hoping to get a photographic backdrop to make it look a bit more realistic. Might have a rummage through my photo collection and see if there are any suitable scenes...
