I am back at last. A lot has happened in the last year (not all of it good) - but I have decided to try and get the layout running again. A good review, but don't you think 10/10 is a little 'enthusiastic'?

I would not buy one for two main reasons:
1) traction tyres
2) the rather cheap/naff motor

Excellent stuff - just been catching up on some of my favourite layouts. It's really great seeing the layouts come on (and to escape from the family get together for a few minutes!)

This is a truly impressive layout! Great work!

Just thought I'd give people an update. So a few months ago I moved to London, to start a new job. Sadly, the flat in London isn't really big enough for a model railway, and I don't really have all that much time for one. Things are made worse by the fact that burglaries are quite common and I'd hat...

Yeah, true, but all bachmann ever seem to is BR blue and Green. Yeah, why do they do that? I have finally decided that since Bachmann's 47 in Virgin and IC Swallow liveries may be many many years away (if ever done...) that I may as well buy the Heljan 47. To be honest, I'm surprised Heljan didn't ...

I thought the EWS one was sound? Yes, and no. The latest EWS 66 is I believe the DCC-sound one, but the one i've got is an older Bachmann 66 with no sound. Or are you running Digital? Not currently digital - but am "digital ready" - just haven't got round to spending the dosh on a DCC sys...

Yup, Bachmann 66 (wanted one for ages) and a Heljan 47. All I 'really' need now is a Heljan 47 Intercity Swallow, and a decent Class 08... and of course plenty more rolling stock!!
