Anyway, to get the ball rolling have taken some photos and had a play with some of the more recent additions on some test track I had lying about... namely a Clas...

A good review, but don't you think 10/10 is a little 'enthusiastic'?
I would not buy one for two main reasons:
1) traction tyres
2) the rather cheap/naff motor

Just thought I'd give people an update. So a few months ago I moved to London, to start a new job. Sadly, the flat in London isn't really big enough for a model railway, and I don't really have all that much time for one. Things are made worse by the fact that burglaries are quite common and I'd hat...

An update at last... Well, i've been extremely busy the last few months and i don't think i've even touched the layout since may or something ridiculous. I am however hoping to get some more work done in september. i've also picked up some more locos - couldn't resist (another bachy 166 and a hornby...

Yeah, true, but all bachmann ever seem to is BR blue and Green. Yeah, why do they do that? I have finally decided that since Bachmann's 47 in Virgin and IC Swallow liveries may be many many years away (if ever done...) that I may as well buy the Heljan 47. To be honest, I'm surprised Heljan didn't ...

Never seen a Lima 67 before. Yeah, I think the differences between the Hornby and Lima versions can be summarised as follows: Hornby does not use traction tyres; Lima does use traction tyres; Hornby does not have horn grill printed detail; Lima does have horn grill printed detail; Hornby does have ...

Well, never quite made it to the layout, but I can update you on how I've got on with my Hornby Class 67. I replaced the body in the end with a Lima body shell. This was a trickier process than one might imagine. It required: 1. The careful removal of the windscreen wiper baldes from the Hornby shel...

Just to let people know, I'm hoping to get some work done this weekend... as it really has been too long!! And when the hell are Bachmann releasing the Dynamis... I want one NOW!!! My current plan is to throw down the track in the TMD yard bit, and get it all wired up again so that I can play trains...
