Re: Oak Street - N Gauge

Got what I can wired up now, just waiting for my track, which is very frustrating when I only need a few bits!

Re: Oak Street - N Gauge

Finally laid nearly all the track - I underordered AGAIN. I forgot my 2nd radius curves the first time, then when I went to order them again I only ordered one.. but I managed to get my slightly adapted storage area laid. http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/6956/img1044z.jpg Just need a few very smal...

Re: New Farish 2012 models announced!

Just had a look on the Farish site and saw a Scotrail Class 158 and Class 170 added (both already available but these are new apparently) as well as photos of the Class 37s.. looking good!

Re: New Farish 2012 models announced!

About time for a red stripe.

Good news for the mk2s and obviously I'll have a class 70!

Re: Oak Street - N Gauge

Hi James Thanks for the kind comments. The NCE Powercab is good but a bit advanced for what I do with it, which is just run trains round! Its a bit awkward switching trains, eg having to press select loco then the number then enter then the same to go back to the last one, but otherwise I have no co...

Re: Stock used in South London workings late 80's

I found out about an issue of Rail Express with a focus on NSE loco hauled services (July '06) which I have bought and hopefully that will help out too!

Cheers for all the info,

Re: Oak Street - N Gauge

In a spare moment while not working or at the gym (training for the army..) I finally wired up the second loop and my shoddy tracklaying and wiring actually works. For the first time I have run 2 trains at once! What a pleasure it was too. All thats left are the innards and the third set of curves o...

Re: N gauge 2012 wish list.

I was referring to a revamp but while there are plenty of classes unmodelled I can't see it.

That 56 is my main wish for the year (or 2!)

Re: Oak Street - N Gauge

That's much better I can't believe I didn't see that before!

I'll change the plan I've printed to include that.

Thanks a lot,

Re: Shaftesbury Network SouthEast in O gauge

Makes me want to smash up my layout, that's absolutely amazing.

Might collapse when it's painted.

Brill!

Re: Oak Street - N Gauge

Got the first loop laid and wired and finally got to run some trains! Breaking in the new 4CEP: http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/39/img0980ku.jpg And an overview of the loop. My soldering is still pretty poor but it works! http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/2051/img0981zu.jpg I couldn't find my pin ...

Re: Stock used in South London workings late 80's

Great vids there, a nice mix of coaches in the rakes like intercity etc.

Thanks for the info!

Re: Stock used in South London workings late 80's

How does:

FO-FO-TSO-TSO-TSO-TSO-BG sound? I don't know what I would haul it with but thats a small rake used in a Paddington working in 1975.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed.

Oak Street - N Gauge

Layout has moved from the planning stage to construction now, so I thought I'd better make a new thread. The plan: http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/7893/finalplan.png The location is a through station on the way to Kings Cross. I'm undecided as to whether I will use the lines in the middle for pur...
