Re: [To be named] 38"x2' N Gauge Layout (Pics now up!)

I had an exam free day today so I thought I should devote a little time to the layout! I finished what I could with the embankment bracing, I just need the tunnel mouths now, I tried making my own but the Peco ones look better! I'm hoping to pick up a bit of paint tomorrow as well as some PVA so I c...

Re: N Gauge Baseboard Size

I'd say 5*2 would be fine providing you used set track curves, I'm currently working on a 38" x 2' layout and that's big enough for me, I'll be running 3-4 trains, not all at the same time mind!

Re: [To be named] 38"x2' N Gauge Layout (Pics now up!)

Hi, and thanks for the nice comments :) Yesterday evening I began cutting up some corrugated cardboard to make a basic framework for the tunnel/embankment, today I'll be adding struts to it to make it stronger and to stop the Papier-mâché from sagging, I'll try and get the board painted on either Fr...

Here you are, Pictures of my work: http://i411.photobucket.com/albums/pp198/truckasauras123/Photo0046.jpg I finished the back scene today and added the top platform which will have some cows and sheep on it, lets be honest, a layout isn't a layout without some cows  If you're wondering what the...

Re: [To be named] 38"x2' N Gauge Layout

I made a start on the back scene today, I've done one side and the rear, cutting holes for fiddle yard access was a royal pain in the arse without a coping saw  so out came the old Stanley knife  so I now have the rear with access holes which will act as a one lane fiddle yard, an the sid...

I'm not sure if it's already available, but Concrete flooring for a depot would be handy to me, as well as retaining walls etc.

That looks ace, is it a kit you have built or is it a scratch build? Either way it looks fantastic!

Peco single track tunnel mouth (n gauge)

Hi all, does anyone know the total width of this? I'm cutting up some wood today and I want to fit these on the fronts of the tunnels, so I need to know how big they are in order to fit them.

Thanks

Re: N 4x2 Layout

I'll no longer be using this, but feel free to use the track plan :)

I'm using peco N gauge track, the curves are first radius (9") and you'll struggle to get a loop on a 15" board.

Cheers,

Re: [To be named] 38"x2' N Gauge Layout

Just a minor update, I started to lay the track today, bloody model shop, short on track again  , so I only have the basic loop down. I'm saving for point motors and wiring etc now, so they should be with me in the next 2-3 weeks, in the mean time, I need to get hold of some tunnel mouths and ...
