Re: Slow start
What make is the loco? You need to consider carefully whether a decoder reset is possible without affecting the sound project installed. It would be advisable to consult the documentation that came with the sound decoder or, if that isn't available, the retailer you bought it from before carrying ou...

Re: HELP! with NCE Power Pro
Fantastic! A relief that it wasn't anything more serious. I often find that problems like this that are reported have a simple solution, but most initially blame the technology!!

Re: HELP! with NCE Power Pro
Well the problem is clearly not with the PowerPro, so it is something wrong with the layout. I'm sure it is something simple!! Re: HELP! with NCE Power Pro
But can you use the short piece of programming track as the main, i.e. connect the output from the PowerPro to that piece of track. I'm trying to ascertain whether the problem is with the unit or with the layout!

Re: HELP! with NCE Power Pro
Andrew I can't really see very much in the photo....... So let's go back to basics. Just take the two wires from the track output of the PowerPro and connect them directly to the piece of short track you have. Do NOT use the Hornby connector under any circumstances unless it is the DCC version, but ...

Re: DCC Concepts with Stay Alive
Have you (a) adequately run in the motor (30 minutes in each direction should do) and (b) checked the model is correctly lubricated?

Re: NCE PC interface
Just connect the interface into the cab bus from the SB3a using either a flat or curly cable - either will work.

Re: New to DCC
Just to clarify, the latest versions of the PowerCab have a recall stack of 6, the same as other NCE systems. Those who have bought the PowerCab during the last 2 years and have registered with NCE should get a free upgrade. Those who have older systems but have also registered should also get notif...
