Re: Bromsgrove

Just a reminder that whilst our retail operations have closed (though I do still have some stock!) the information part of our website is still operational and is regularly updated with information about EFE and Corgi releases as well as Toyfair/Swapmeet dates. DCC installation guides are still ther...

Re: Digitrax Sound Loader Software

Thanks for the prompt response. Yes I did, but it doesn't really say too much about using the software. At the moment the questions taxing me are: Can you upload a sound from a project to your PC? How do you re-assign sounds to different function buttons? Can I change the point at which the engine ...

Re: Digitrax Sound Loader Software

I assume you've read the information on this page - http://www.digitrax.com/sound-depot/ - which is really the only help available as far as I can see.

Re: Speed control

It looks as though you have somehow unintentionally pressed the 28/128 button. Press the 28/128 button until 128 is displayed. This is a toggle button between the two settings.

Re: NCE Power cab / Pro cab question.

I suppose it could be a duff EPROM though I've never come across one from NCE before - most things are generally down to user error!!!!

Can I suggest you email Larry at NCE and see if they can come up with a solution? Try larry at ncecorporation.com

Re: NCE Power cab / Pro cab question.

Are you sure that

(a) the EPROM was put in the right way round, and
(b) no pins were bent, and
(c) you pressed it fully into the socket?

Re: NCE Power cab / Pro cab question.

Keep pressing the PROG button until you get to SET CAB PARAMS. First option is number of recalls - press 6, then ENTER, then ESC.

Re: NCE Power cab / Pro cab question.

Had a pleasant surprise this morning when my Eprom upgrade dropped onto the door mat completely unexpectedly, had forgotten all about it. How many years has it been since it was announced? Just need to pluck up the courage to take the back of the powercab and get it fitted, reading the instructions...

Re: Fitting a decoder to 'Dover'

Thanks for all your replies. I finally sussed it last night, the way to do it is to prise the body off with a small screwdriver (which the instruction sheet does not mention at all). It seems a bit mad to me that you spend a fair sum of money on a model, and the first thing you have to do is go at ...

Re: Nce cable extension

Please re-read dan8400 original request. He will not move the existing PCP panel nor the PowerCab. (which agreed should not be lengthened) There is a second socket on the right of the PCP for a secondary CAB (or onward to a UTP), this is the one that he wants to "extend"! It is precisely ...

Re: Nce cable extension

I simply want to add another throttle on the other side of my layout. I want to leave the pcp and powercab where they are. If the curly cable was long enough I would just use that with an additional throttle. I am going to get another throttle and just need to extend the curly cable. I don't really...

Re: NCE Power cab / Pro cab question.

Thanks for the complement Biggles! A very comprehensive answer if I might say. Just to clarify, if you want a circuit breaker for use with the basic PowerCab then the DCC Specialties PSX is the only device I have come across which can be set at a low enough trip level, which therefore also excludes ...
