Re: BR Blue/era 7 loco advice.

Another loco worth considering might be the Dapol 73..... most batches are not DCC ready but some of the latest batches are... the 73/0 in BR Blue are DCC ready. Grahame's 'Stoney Lane Depot' layout is worth having a look at for some 80's inspiration.... somewhere in layout topics Also worth having ...

Re: BR Blue/era 7 loco advice.

It is/was, but threads evolve

Nope, just shows a lack of respect to the original OP and a bit of gracious acknowledgement of the help you have been given by Zunnan would also probably be appropriate don't you think?

Re: BR Blue/era 7 loco advice.

Blimey here was me thinking that this thread was about offering advice about BR Blue era diesels but low and behold in a surreal turn of events it's actually all about problem solving M8's loco collection...maybe it would be better to set up a separate thread?

Re: BR Blue/era 7 loco advice.

Hi Paddy The 24 is superb.... my personal favourite N scale loco and runs beautifully. The forthcoming Blue 47 and 20 will no doubt be very good but avoid the previous batches of the blue 47 due to an overly wide bogie/body gap. other very good Farish models for your Blue period would be: 108 DMU cl...

Re: I Doooon't Belieeeeve It!!

Hi B308 I appreciate the fact that I entered into the terms and conditions when I bought the ticket..... but what I found a little hard to take was that I had to buy a full fare ticket when actually what I considered fare was to make the difference up between the two tickets which to me seemed emine...

Re: I Doooon't Belieeeeve It!!

You wouldn't expect to turn up and get on an earlier flight with your advance airline ticket so why is your rail ticket different Whilst I agree with a lot of your points and inevitably there are two sides to every story, I would just say that when travelling by air I have never had a problem being...

Re: Getting started on N Gauge

Hattons would still be my first port of call for both level of stock and service although Osborn's Models is a very good specialist in N Gauge: http://www.osbornsmodels.com/index.asp N Gauge has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years but be aware that there are allot of models in the range, ...

Re: Dapol 2011 Releases

Shame about the bright motion gear as it certainly spoils, at least for me, what is otherwise a great looking model.

Take a look here for just how good a Brit can look:

I do agree with Benn that your posts seem to have a tinge of bitterness and unwarranted negativity

Re: How many unites sell

Unfortunately for N Gauge, so far special editions have not done all that well so I would approach this with a huge amount of trepidation....there are quite a few examples out there of one off special editions by retailers not doing well.... Kernow still have their special edition class 60 after sev...

Re: How many unites sell

Farish for locos are typically batch produced at 1200 where as Dapol locos are normally 250. Recently on RMWeb Dave from Dapol posted that they had sold/sent to retailers 4500 powered class 67's so that should give you an idea of what a good model should sell with various livery combinations.

Re: Wrexham and Shropshire to close

Rather pointless as it was a open access TOC That maybe true as to regards any chance of reinstating the service but it does in effect send out a message to all those staff who lost their jobs that their hard work and diligence did not go unnoticed. A really sad end to a company that showed the res...

Re: Dapol Brit

Hi Silentwake Must say I have to agree with Grahame on this one and I was beginning to get a bit tired of seeing your posts slagging off Dapol on the other forum. On RMWeb Dave at Dapol is a regular contributor and it would be sad to see an end of that interaction which to be honest is the danger yo...
