could there be a short circuit in the locomotive?? If not, the motor could be jaming up and shorting out the controller.

i just left my baseboard blank then started painting it. I used a dirt brown humbrol enamel paint and it sort of works :D

Yes you can test it in any loco which has a decoder socket. DCC fitted locos normally use a socket i believe

why don't you get a hornby track cleaner coach or the dapol one that has motorised brushes. That way it will clean itself. Anyway i thought wd-40 melted the sleapers?

well have fun building it! The points you've got down at the moment are a bit useless but they looked real the first time i saw the pic. Also how do the top 2 tracks connect up?? After the layout is started, there is that urge to extend!

you can always get a piece of card and glue it over the sleeper, then if you need to unscrew the screw underneath, you can lift the card up.

So the logic is: people recognise our name more people are going to buy our stuff so we get lots of money So we overprice stuff and grab even more money that we don't need We win, you lose (all your Christmas savings) As opposed to: We make good quality stuff people who know what they're buying and...

From what I've heard of Hornby's customer service, if you send them off to them they'll probably fix them, but with postage costs alone you'd probably be better off just getting a spare pug and doing it yourself. or you can always go to your local service dealer, it should be cheaper as there isn't...
