Re: Which model is correct?
Thank you b308. Did they really differ that much in size? As a matter of fact I will be modelling Goathland. All the buildings have been collected. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Which model is correct?
I have two models of the waiting room at Goathland, North Yorkshire by Hornby. These are the Hornby Skaledale R8720 and R9746. The size of these models differ so much that I really need to ask if anyone can tell me which is the more correct one. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u138/rosenblad_phot...

I really hope it stays an April 1st hoax, and that it becomes illegal. Even though I don't like the thought, I think the photo is very well done!

Re: Original MK1 coaches
I had the same problem with the spring on one of my coaches. An e-mail to Bachmann service sorted that nice and quickly. Tell them the coach catalogue number, and they send you the part at a low price. Good service!

Re: ZTS workbench: Structures, rolling stock, locos, and mad
I suggest you get rid of those horrible X2F couplers! You will find good Kadee (or plastic clones) replacements that just drop right into the draft gear boxes on your cars! ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: 12.5 mm wheelsets (disc or 3-hole?)
You are right in saying that 3-hole disc wheels are mainly for goods wagons. Th B4 bogies are fine with 12mm disc wheels. All Mk1 coaches should have 14mm wheels, and so should the Commonwealth bogies. As far as I remember all Mk3 and Mk4 coaches are equipped with disc brakes, and thus 3-hole disc w...

Re: Using Hornby 4 wheel coach - 009 conversion?
My feeling is that thosse Hornby 4-wheel coaches are too big to be converted to OO9. I even think they are too big for standard gauge! After all, they are just toys!

You don't mention your scale, but I work in OO scale, and Oxford Diecast and Pocketbond Classix are in my oppinion the very best vehicles! Go ahead and enjoy!

I have a soft spot for narrow gauge myself, and your efforts are really good! Even those huge old Hornby couplers look fine in 7mm scale narrow gauge!

I must say that I really love the results you have achieved on those Gresley coaches! You said you gave them a clear coat, but what sort of clear coat was it? I would love to give my own coaches the same treatment!
