Re: Absolute idiot.

It just looks odd, there's something not right about the bloke, he looks like he has just randomly appeared their not knowing where he is, a Mr. Bean moment?

Re: North Yorkshire Moors Railway Autumn Steam Gala

We did a short walk around Goathland area on the Saturday, the line was in sight most of the time, saw a 9f, some GWR rubbish and a lovely LNER Q6(?) Although on the way back we heard a loco, sounded like an A4, same sort of ghostly whistle as an A4, but could only see the steam coming out of it! So...

Re: Trying to get off the ground ! GWR & LNER Terminus

Is this going to be a sort of clash of the Titans layout, GWR & LNER, you better start buying some LNER pacifics

On the other hand, I like the track plan, looks to be quite a good one from an operating point of view!

Re: Tornado

Yeah same here, I was about to send it back, but I ran it a bit more and changed the axles as you described, now runs sweet as a nut going forwards, bit rough in reverse but I can sort of put up with that...

Re: N Guage locos and tight curves

I take it ST-12 are 12 inch radius? If they are, then this isn't the tightest radius, 9inch is the tightest!
All of my locos are fine on 12inch radius, some not so on 9 inch!

Re: GETTING LAZY!

Yep, Moddellers block. I ripped up one whole corner of my layout the other month, with a view to re-laying it all to a better standard before Farish's Tornado arrives. Today I returned from work to find a slip from the post office, telling me I have a parcel waiting for me at their depot. I can only...

Re: Starting in 16mm scale

HI Chris, thanks for the comments :)

Yes, the chassis was bought direct from Essel, brilliant customer service from them if I may add!
Cheers,

Geoff, how about the same positioning, but try and get the sky in the picture, by taking from down low?

Re: Starting in 16mm scale

I haven't updated this thread for a while... but here goes... The original chassis has been ditched, due to problems with the gears stripping. A new chassis is now in place, made entirely from metal, and came RTR at £75! Also, the body is mainly finished, with the details added, and has gone from th...
